Tapered is kind of geeky, but I swore to myself in 1979 I would never wear flares again. Anyone who actually remembers the 70's feels this way, that's why even though designers tried to bring bells back since 1989 it took a whole new generation to be suckered in. I don't wear mom jeans, though, I'm content with boot cut. Low-rise flares with a muffin top have to be the ugliest thing ever. At least Mom jeans don't give you a muffin top, but they can give you a camel toe.
