  • whtas the name of folk song, when elite is marching ? (in film Burnt by the sun 2)

  • Adoro tango!!!

  • This song was created by lithuanian composer Danielius Dolskis. And it is called - Paskutinis Sekmadienis. He died in 1931. So your's Jerzy just copied it.

  • @amatininkas At least someone knows the true fact.

  • @amatininkas Where did you get this info? Dolskis was just a singer but composition is by Petersburski. If it's Dolskis, can you tell me the source, please? I'm curious.

  • @karkarola The truth is, I was a bit harsh to make such statement. It's a thing to debate. There are few theories. First, there is a theory that, Utomlennoe solntse, was created earlier by a hungarian composer. That's how Dolskis could have heard it. Second. Utomlennoe solntse, was only recorded in 1936, but was created much earlier. Third, that Dolskis recording is truly a recording of another lithuanian singer - Šabaniauskas. And so on.

  • @amatininkas Anyway, let's enjoy this beautiful music and lyrics. Greetings.

  • Argentinian music style written by a Polish Jew played by a a Soviet Band!!! Does it get any more eclectic than that? And, you know, it works!

Viva a boa musica . Viva o Brasil viva a Russia

  • ta ostatnia niedziela ....

  • buona la cornetta

  • This song I beleive I heard in Syberiada (not sure though) first, then this summer I had been to Kerch, near the Azovian sea and some old man was playing this on the street...it was a gloomy day too, clouds, etc but the city was still beautiful. I sat on the hill and looked down the city (note: you can see from that point the shores of Russia:)), I heard this song again and totally fell in love with it. Aww, one of the best days in my life:)

  • @cornturkey1

yes this song was in sibiriada. which is a great movie by the way, one of my favourites. there is also a film with the same name as this song.

  • LOL he felt polish so what you need more as evidence???

  • Krzysztof Eugeniusz Penderecki, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Zbigniew Preisner and Wojciech Kilar - present-day most famous Polish composers !!!

  • Of course he was Jewish. Pre-war Poland consited in 15% of Jews. But they were all Polish citizens, thats were they chose to live. It's like saying that black people in USA are not Americans.

  • @tomaszciszewski ,despite Felix Dzerzhinski was 100% Pole from noble Polish family, antisemites call him ''jew'' just because they hate him..

But when a real Jew make something great then he's immediately became ''Russian'' or ''Pole''

    You are very hypocritical.

  • Very popular tango... So many people fall in love, listening to it...

  • composer Jerzy Petersburski was Jew,,Please dont be ashamed to write it,,

Jerzy Petersburski is Even author of very famous russian song Sinejkij skromnyj platochek (Blekitna chusteczka)

  • @mavra1910 Both parents of Petersburski were Jewish? Jew didn't mean not-Polish :-) It was great that polish Jews could live in Poland and make such beautiful music, poetry (Gold, Aston, Tuwim, Brzechwa, Nora Ney). Pity, that September that year stopped it...

  • @mavra1910

It is truth J.P was a Jew.

But saying he was a Pole with jewish ancestry is closer to the truth.

And logically if something is closer to the truth it must be further from the lie.

So dont be ashamed to be closer to the truth Mavra.

  • Seems there isn't a tango that I don't find worth watching and listening. Thanks for this posting.

    zn.ua/newspaper/articles/24901

  • tango tango the music of the love

  • No prosze, nasze polskie tango zaśpiewane po rosyjsku.

  • @anabell7890 .no tak..On byl Zydem ! Wierzysz czy nie - to nic nie zmieni..

Cytat z Wikipedii - Jerzy Petersburski was born April 20, 1895, into the well-known Warsaw family of Jewish musicians,..''

To samo pisze tez Wikipedia w jez.rosyjskim..Nie wiem dlaczego Polacy ten fakt ukrywaje

  • @anabell7890 ,,composer of this tango is JEW Jerzy Petersburski,,who was born in Poland and then moved to the Soviet after german occupation of Poland during ww2..

Of course, many Polish Jews have Polish sounding names..for example Roman Polanski etc

If Jerzy Petersburski is Polish - then Roman Polanski Polish too

  • @mavra1910 is that change the fact that he was also Pole?

  • @olekman12 ,,if its so - Roman Polanski is also Pole,,but why you call him ZYD ?

  • @mavra1910 hmmm some people do,I consider him as good polish director

  • @mavra1910

If you read in English Wiki LIST OF POLISH AMERICANS, you'll see how many of them were also Polish Jews.

  • @fanaber70 ,,so what is your point? English Wikipedia says that Roman Polanski is Polish Jew..According to you its a lie just because Wikipedia writes that ?

Wikipedia is OK when it benefits you but not OK when its not..

Not only Wikipedia but All russian sources confirm that Jerzy Petersburski is Polish Jew ,He moved to the USSR after german occupation of Poland.

On the other hands there are still some 'Polish Poles' who definied as 'Russians' by the russian sources (forgot names)

  • @fanaber70 ,, what about Konstantin Tsiolkowski ? Wikipedia says : ''..pioneer of the astronautic theory.

Tsiolkowski was born in the Russian Empire, His father, Edward Tsiolkovsky (in Polish: Ciołkowski), was Polish; his mother, Maria Yumasheva, was ..of Tatar descent. His father was a Polish patriot deported to Russia as a result of his revolutionary ''

You dont trust Wiki when its not benefit Your prejudices, but you trust Wikipedia when it writes about famous Poles

    its hypocritical

  • @mavra1910

Yes, I know. Edward Ciolkowski was a genius. There were lots of Russians of Polish origin. Some of them were forcibly Russianized Poles, some decided to work for Russia and willingly adopt the Russian citizenship.

  • @anabell7890 , No to wtedy caly swiat Zyd tworzyl,,Jak cos ci nie przypada to odrazu 'zyd tworzyl''

Wtedy przestan uzywac Google bo to tez Zyd tworzyl

  • @anabell7890 nie wierze? povierze!

  • @ColinOfBarbaria You can read the history of this song in the description under the video. It depends on what you mean by 'did'. The melody was composed by a Polish composer Jerzy Petersburski and lyrics written by Zenon Friedwald. This particular Russian version is sung by Pavel Mikhailov. I don't know the version made by the persons you've mentioned.

  • This beautiful tango was written by a jew you idiot bigot

  • @jazura2 ,look, some Poles hypocritically denies that composer of this tango is JEW

  • @jazura2

You are an idiot bigot yourself.

Why do you slander someone for no reason?

  • Dziekuje za historie powstania tej piosenki.

  • dont forget to thank all the great jewish composers and musicians and poets while you're at it ;)

  • @Smellycats4eva ,,notice that some Polish hypocrites DENIES that composer of this tango is Jew

  • Lindo tango! Adorei!

  • Bravo bravissimo dla pana Petersburskiego!

  • the world has turned to shit compared to the olden days, thank the jewish millionairs who own every american movie and music title.

  • @TruthIsRacist The olden days had plenty of problems in it's own right, and just as many scapegoats for people to blame for them as we do nowadays.

  • @TruthIsRacist Actually it's been more than 30 years since developed countries put their own people into death camps, so saying the world sucks now because of the Jews is pretty stupid to say, and sets you up to repeat history. Did you learn anything in the last century fool?

  • good old times.. i remember.. i was still alive.. but look now.. how the world has changed...

    kkidding

  • LINDO TANGO...RITMO Y VOZ

  • I think that there must be other videos to discuss about Stalin....this one is about this great tango, wich is fabulous by the way.

    Greetings from Buenos Aires

  • Music has no borders .Priviet Russians and Polish.

  • Sorry, to Ruskie i to tango usynowili?

  • It was the most famous tango melody in the USSR.

  • bellissimo

  • And your authority for this ridiculous assertion is?

  • You prove you can be a bigot and an ignoramus as the same time quite well.

This is a Jewish song, my friends.

    Not Russian, and not Polish.

  • @daetoya1 , da, ja znaju chto eto Evrejskaja pesnja, no mnogie eto otricajut

  • polish version is original and correct title is 'To ostatnia niedziela' , not 'Ta'

  • In Soviet Russia, Music Plays You!

  • Wayworn sun

Was saying tenderly goodbye to the sea

    At that moment you confessed

    That there is no love

    I felt a little sad

    Without yearning, without sorrow

At that instant your words sounded:

"We are parting, I wouldn't be angry

It's fault of you and me"

  • where is the polish version and what is the name in Polish?

  • @wadj68

Polish title is " Ta ostatnia niedziela" J. Petersburski

  • i think polish version of it is "this is last sunday" by Mieczyslaw Fogg...

  • "This is the Last Sunday"

At least that is the direct translation of the Polish in the title credits "To Ostania Niedziela"

  • and polish one is original, first one... details available...

  • Ta ostatnia niedziela

  • I have heard it first time in the Nikita Mikhalkov movie "Burnt By The Sun"(Soleil Trompeur) and I've cried.

    THANKS FROM PARIS!

  • I also heard it the first time in this excellent movie, one of my favourites

  • @Siberiaeterna

This film was amazing. To close to the sun (Stalin - the sun) was deadly for everyone...

  • heard this song in a sad movie and started crying, anyways it's a great song, and who cares by who it was sung by, just enjoy the beautiful song

  • nice, calming music...

  • I think that the album is impossible, the song was Polish and in Polish version much better- as i think. Bu Mieczysław Fogg or by Piotr Fronczewski.

  • i´m from argentina,

very nice tango, great voice!!! I want all albums now!!1

  • The Gardel of Rssia.

  • Funny that Poles and Russians are arguing over a song that was sung by a Yiddish-speaking Jew...

  • Lol, American mediocrats play it wrong as usual...

It's a beautiful song, and it says it all. Thank you, Russian and Polish Jews.

  • don't mention it!

    Shalom!

  • Jesus Jewish as well

  • What is your point in bringing that up?

I am a descendent of Polish Jews. It doesn't matter that this music was composed by a Jew. He was still Polish - a Pole of the Jewish faith, and therefore this music belongs to Poland as much as it belongs to Jews.

  • Hey! I transliterated the lyrics so that people who can't read Russian can follow along. Sorry if there are mistakes, I'm still learning the language myself. :] ( Refrain ) Utomlyonnoe solntse Nezhno s morem proshchalos V etot chas ty priznalas Chto nyet lyubvi Mne nemnogo vsgrusnulos Bez toski, bez pechali V etot chas prozbuchali Slova tvoi- "Rasstayomsya, ya ne stanu zlitsya Vinovaty v etom ty i ya ( Refrain twice more )
  • Thank you very much! =D

I'll try to learn it even if I don't understand/speak Russian.

    It is simply beautiful!

  • No problem! I loved this song so much, I had to find/post the lyrics for people who like to follow along.

Russian is a beautiful language. I can almost carry a decent introductory conversation now! :]

  • Wow, really? This is really nice! I wish you a great success in your learning then! =D

  • the polish version is better

  • To people like LjubljuTango, Its a Polish tango from 1935, made in Poland, the performer was Mieczysław Fogg. Its nice that russians like it but its Polish not Russian.

  • This is one of my faves -the original version Ta Ostatnie Niedziele/The Last Sunday was Polish, with words by Miecyslaw Fogg. The Russian version Utomlyonnye Solntsye/The Wayworn Sun was by Aleksandr Tsfasman, and has has different words.

The Polish version was nicknamed The Suicide Tango - I like the Russian version better. The Russians understood - as the Poles did not - that Tango demands a violent contrast between staccato and legato - having some Tatar blood in your veins probably helps.

  • a great tango...

I love Klavdiya Shulzhenko's version even more. thanks for posting!

  • I prefer this version to others.

  • For those interested in downloading the song, Google: "Сборник любимых песен - Утомленное солнце" It's the first song on that compilation.

  • While we're at it, can someone post the lyrics to this song, preferrably in Russian cyrillic? Thanks a ton!

  • very nice piece of work

  • Polish people can be proud that Russians call this tango a russian one. And indeed it is - recorded in Russia (in 1940), sung in russian and performed by russians. And most importantly - beloved by Russians. It became a symbol of the whole russian historical epoch. May be it was written by a Pole, and had a previous version, but it became Russian. It has nothing to do with education, but a nation-wide recognition, nostalgia, and acceptance.

  • "May be it was written by a Pole"

To be perfectly accurate it was

2 Jews that wrote the music and lyrics

  • Damn right, and proud of it. You have a problenm with it?

  • Nah i was replying to 2002irith's about who wrote the song- he said jews, i said Polish Jews

  • Mieczysław Fogg was actually polish, I don't know who you refer as the second one.

  • muy hermosoo

  • I wonder if Stalin liked it...

  • who cares

    he was a psychopath....

  • Wow, for an psychopath he builded pretty much!!!

  • buit? but what?

  • He turned biggest country on world from village full of illiterate bums to superpower full of engineers.

  • so sad, you don't have any chance to die on 1 of these big shock-work constructions in unhuman conditions. stalin should be glad to rot you there.

  • I wouldn't be traitor so I wouldn't end up in gulag.

So sad I don't have any chance to like in Moscow in 1930's. I would have job, bread on table, place to live, and beautiful women all around.

  • if you got captured by fashists, you were automaticly considered a traitor. if you were too smart, you were killed like the men who invented the hydrogen bomb. or the poeple present at stalin's election, or the man who invented television. he was on lenin's hit list too
