  • Ill record my friend next time but he can shoot a semi auto rifle fast as hell its crazy

  • would you get the ruger 10/22 or marlin model 60?

  • Tough choice. They are both excellent guns. The Ruger is much more popular and can be modded in just about any way imaginable. To me, the Marlin seems a nice cheap easy to operate .22 plinker that will cost under $100 with little to reason to upgrade. The ruger is something you'd probably be investing more time and money into, whether it be for extra magazines, new barrels, stocks, etc.

If you like the idea of modding your gun, definitely go with the Ruger.

  • yeah if i get a semi auto ill get a the marlin model 60

where can you get these for under 100 dollars?

  • I bought mine at wal-mart back in 2003 I think. I don't know if they still carry semi-auto rifles because you can't hunt with them in most places, but if they do it'll probably be cheaper than at most gun shops. Also, when you're buying a gun that cheap it makes more sense to pick it up at a store or shop rather than buy it online and pay a $25 fee for a dealer transfer.

  • where do you live? acutally in most places (before the devil (obama) gets in) its legal to hunt almost anything with a semi auto! and most 22s are semi!

  • thats true man, now its way harder to find ammo for my .22 here in socal

  • @secallo28 I have an old savage steavens 22 from 1921

  • i have a marlin 795 and its awesome

  • I have a marlin m60 and m1894. I don't really like the m60's front sight though.

  • For future reference, the easiest way (by far) to clean a complicated mess of parts like a Marlin M60 receiver is to just remove it from the gun and spray it with either some gun cleaner (buy it at walmart or any gun store) or brake cleaner for cars (i recommend the gun cleaner but they are pretty much the same thing).

    Hope that helps.

  • If that isn't the spring you're talking about, I don't think I can really help you. You aren't supposed to take the gun down any farther than taking the action and receiver out. I'd check with a local gun smith or gun shop if you haven't already.

  • Im not sure if you can help me. But I am cleaning a friends Model 60. I took it apart all the way down so i can clean it. and When I tried to put it back together a Spring come off and Jammed against a White peice on the Feeding Assembly. Now i cant figure out where it was suppost to fit. If you know please help Me.

  • If its a long spring it goes over the long pin that goes into the back of the receiver (the part with the handle that you pull back). It dampens the recoil and makes the action close for refiring. You have to be really careful with that part of the gun because of the spring gets a kink in it (which is extremely easy) the gun will jam more often and kick noticeably more.

  • I had a Model 60. Great gun for cheap money.

  • it would be nice if we could see the gun
