  • "They took turns at big stupid, and there was three of them."

    Love the Kenny Rodgers reference!

  • 1:45

I'm not ashamed to say that I choked up at this part.

The first Mst'd movie where I'm emotionally invested in the characters. Wow.

  • @theyeti101101 it happens, some of the movies ain't so bad. they never riffed it but i get a lil chocked up during spider baby

  • Love the Gene Kelly bits.

  • What a sad bastard movie

  • "YOU LOVED HER?!!!"

    That's great!!

  • 6:58, Dirty Harry ref! :DD

  • So it's totally late to chime in on this, seeing as the movie is at least twice my age...but the dad remembers Big Stupid saying "You tie me down" once, and yet he can't remember his daughter saying "He scares me. I don't want to be alone with him, I don't trust him" about the other guy eight million times?

  • Hmmm this is the night that the lights went out where ever they are....

By morning that silence will be the loudest noise you ever heard!

  • They took turns at Big Stupid, and their were three of them. lmao

  • YOU'RE STUCK HERE!

  • "This has always been a quite town..."

Yeah, if you ignore the gang of murderous punks ruffing people up outside the pool hall and the brothel that is.

  • Looks like he squinted her to death, or something.

  • This seems like a wanna be to kill a mocking bird. Except instead of black people its hobos.

  • I'm trying to look at nobody and I'm looking at everybody!

  • "Jesse!"

    Now, Jerome!

  • Wait...aret heyever going to tell us if Danny spent all of his money yet? I gotta know!

  • Who waits until the second they die to scream in that way?

I mean, that normally only happens when you're being eaten by giant mutant ants or something, not after you've been... whatever the hell happened to her, I wasn't paying attention. BUT WAY TO IMPLICATE YOUR BOYFRIEND WITH YOUR DYING BRE... SCREAM.

  • Big Stupid really lives up to his name here.

  • 4:58 or so. I just noticed the truck the kid is riding in is different than the one shown at the station at 3:13. Call the continuity police!

  • Aw, why couldn't it have been Big Stupid?

  • Well, that sequence is over, let's get 'im!

  • Still don't get the Gene Kelly thing. He looks nothing like him. Unless it's a reference to Viva Kenievel I'm lost.

  • Tom really knows his Gene Kelly. I love it.

  • oh, ok, thanks!!!

  • aww, did you cut out the part where Crow Dresses up like Jack Elam?!? that was HILARIOUS!!!

  • I'd never do that, it's one of the best bits of the episode! It's at the end of part 7.

  • And the movie kills the only likable character.

  • This is the most depressing film. Except maybe High School Big Shot.

  • Hmm, I'd say equal. Like the EEGAH/MANOS debate: both are equally bad for different reasons.

HSBS and TGILL are both depressing. HSBS maybe a little more depressing, but the fact that this movie went and killed the only likable, and most innocent and undeserving of characters is just anger-inducing.

  • Ah but HSBS has NO likable characters except for Cyrano Jones (and he lives), so the deaths in that film are somewhat satisfying.

Then again it also has depressing dad, a character SO depressing it's right there in his name!

    Tough call...

  • Speaking of Depressing Dad, did you notice he also plays Michael Landon's depressing dad in IWATW?

(these acronyms are getting silly, DYT?)

  • Yep. And that film is also kinda depressing. Actually it's odd, once you start reading up on this stuff you find the same actors peppered throughout MST movies again and again.

But if you think about it, don't modern B-movies and direct-to-video-movies tend to have the same actors in supporting roles over and over too? I guess some things never change...

  • Yeah, Harvey B. Dunn, Merritt Stone, Paul Freas, Tor Johnson, Peter Graves, etc.

A modern example? Um, Steve Railsback springs to mind.

  • @TomMSTie Sometimes they end up in good movies. Depressing Dad also appeared in Paths of Glory.

  • @Applemask Ooh, thank you. And Jack Elam went on to have a long career in much better films. At the top of my list is SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF! and SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GUNFIGHTER.
