how did i miss them last year were was this done at they are great (fyi i am with the 5th MO CSA) i love seeing kids there learning the truth about the civil war and not the school book gloss covered version

The instrument is a dulcimer. It is a common instrument in the Ozarks though I don't know its hsitory.

The tune they are playing is "Red Wing", which was written in 1907.
