This is a request, I am 3D modelling the lee enfield no4 mk1...however...I CANNOT find a TOPDOWN view of the entire rifle. if you could send an image to superbucket01@hotmail.co.uk I would be eternally greatful...Thanks in advance.
Its funny everyone seems to forget that the Canadians sold Lee’s to the US army in ww2. What I have never found out is why and what did the US army do with them?
@tina6581 m1 garand was proven to be more effective and more superior than any other rifle the U.S. Army and military branches had seen at that time period, the m1 garand is considered the rifle that won the war for the U.S., we probably didn't need the rifles at the time
@stitches611 I'd love to get one, but right now I'm setting my sights (no pun intended) on a new tactical piston carbine, so those tend to be expensive.
I agree about it being the smoothest one. I've done some work on my Mosin-Nagant's bolt and its alot easier to operate but my Enfield and Mosin, there is no competition. I find the Mosin bolt to have more wobble. You can move it about half an inch up and down when its at the back, people say its more reliable than an Enfield because of this. But i'd say they are equal, you can drag them through mud and they should work with no major issues.
@amit3179 The list goes on and on for who uses this rifle. Pakistan also manufactured the rifle in .308 (hence the Ishapur Enfield rifle). I was jst giving the main three manufatcurerers of the rifle that most people will find them from, atleast in the US and Canada.
@strechinpick I've never heard them called that before. The .308 enfields I've seen coming out of Pakistan have been called ishapur rifles, but maybe their terminology is wrong.

@tina6581 I didn't know that. Maybe they just did testing with them and training troops in foreign equipment.

@stitches611 I would say the STG-44 is superior. But considering that the US won with Garands, it's hard to say.
clarkscoolskool 3 months ago
@clarkscoolskool yes but at the time, the Nazi's ruled Germany, and they would not send guns to America i don't think, lol
stitches611 3 months ago
@stitches611 I meant overall in WWII. The M1 is by far the best rifle the US had issued at the time.
clarkscoolskool 3 months ago
@clarkscoolskool yes, according to the U.S. Army, it was the most efficient rifle at the time, and it definitely was a huge icon and still is

@soloban81 Oh wow, I can't beleive I said that. I guess that's what happens when you don't think through very well what you are going to say.

@clarkscoolskool, The rifles that I have seen coming out of Pakistan are refered to as Khyber Pass rifles.

Yes that story is true, it was in fact from ww1 not ww2. The British would use the 'mad minute' tactic. 30 aimed shots a minute.
TaZ101SAGA 1 year ago
@TaZ101SAGA Good to know, I didn't know how true the story was or that it was WWI and not WWII.
