There are so many posts of people who have watched the movie in the 1970's when they were at the age of 5-12 and who are literally crying when they hear the music again 35 years later. The same happened to me. There must be something magic with this movie/ song. My own view is: watching this movie and listening to the song triggers a kind of craving for something: is it love ?...or something that we have lost long time ago ? is it God? I don't know.

I haven't seen the tv series or heard the haunting theme since my early childhood in the 70s. I am listening to it now for the second time since then, and tears are rolling freely down my cheeks. I remember how much I liked the series, and how deeply I loved the theme music. God, it's almost scary how these theme songs stick with you!

This music takes me straight back, like many others here, to my teens when this series was all the rage in Iran. I'm glad to see so many people from across the world feel like I do. I'm 44 and living in the states but for a few minutes here I lived in the happy country of my childhood. Thank you very much for that.

I do not know which version you saw, but there is a big difference because only the french version has the end with the marriage of strogoff and the girl. We Germans did not have it because the german producer thought it erratic that the rebel Strogoff would have a happy ending.

Hello Iran doost .. Do you know which version of The Michel Strogoff we saw in iran, back in early 70's? Was it German or French made and where I may be able to buy it .. do they have the Farsi version of this in Iran? I am trying to buy it here in USA but not sure what version and what year .. thanks.

It was 1979-80 after revolution and it was french version translated to Farsi

Masz rację tej melodii nie da się zapomnieć. Ja oglądałam ten serial mając ok. 9-10 lat i też nic z niego nie pamiętam tylko muzyka utkwiła mi w głowie. Teraz ją odnalazłam, dotarłam nawet do książki i muszę przyznać warta jest tego utworu.
