If you have a family, it's pretty irresponsible to put your liberty in jeopardy for this. Your family maybe your job, if you even have one are on the line every time you go play around with guns and cops. Go stand outside a liquor store in a high crime area and stop the drug deals, etc.

@budman8207 It is not a law to show your ID when you have done nothing wrong, I was stopped by a cop when I was walking home I had done nothing wrong I had no weapon I had just been walking down a street trying to get home and I was pulled over and checked for no reason they claimed that I was in the area of an attempted burglary but here is the thing that happened 3 blocks away just seconds before they pulled up. @budman8207 The simple fact that he was not taken to jail right away was BECAUSE the officers had no grounds to arrest him. IF it was just a matter of him not showing his ID, they would have found out who he was once he was fingerprinted at the station. BOTTOM LINE, they knew they had no right to detain him. @budman8207 The cops are free to leave whenever they want. So how is it that the poster is the one that is causing the delay. They could have either (a) let him go which would have been the correct decision, or (b) taken him to prison. Either way they didn't need to hang around for half an hour.

I clicked like this video because it shows how retarded America government is. I live in Chicago and now we have to take a $100 course to have a gun in our house plus a $10 FOID card which is only issued after a background check that says we are legally able to purchase a handgun but once you decide to purchase a handgun you still have to wait 72 hours for a background check to be completed. Bravo for standing up for Americans rights!

I honestly think the cops have the "SHEEP" mentality in this series of videos. One cop decided that it was nessesary to identify a citizen who had his gun on his hip, and all the other cops felt as though they needed to "Back him up". Thus, the refusing to answer questions and standing around and participating in aimless bullshit! They didnt want to arrest this man.The easy out was show your ID even thought you shouldn't have to! Then they have adressed any concerns and he is free to go!

I'm not sure how bad it is that this happened to you, or what they we're legally allowed to do, because it's different here in England, but it does seem like you were detained for a rather long time for doing something which as i understand is perfectly legal...

The cops in this video really make me mad. It's no wonder we have no gun rights and it is such a hassle to Open Carry here in California. The cops don't want anyone else but themselves to have firearms. If you are legally carrying your own firearm and get stopped by the police you are treated like a criminal first before being released. This stop should not have taken more than five minutes, the police only have the right to check if the firearm is loaded. No serial number check, or ID check.
