Honestly, one of the best Star Trek movies (in my opinion) ever made. It stays SO true to the concepts and feeling behind it. Like the Wrath of Khan or Undiscovered Country. The music, the characters, the plot. Just to... amazing. :)
The B'aku can go fuck themselves. They caused a lot of trouble for no reason. They should have been totally abandoned and forced to suffer the consequences, even if that means total annihilation of their worthless, land-grubbing species.
Does anyone else see a resemblance between Scotty and Scottish? Scotty is Scottish and they both have Scott in them. Who ever made up the character's name and background must have been a bit unimaginative.
"This is by far the reference recording of the traditional Star Trek march - those horns at the beginning and the strings playing their flurry of scales seal the deal for me. The recording also has a wider, broader sound-stage to it than previous attempts. And that middle theme...just buttery deliciousness! RIP Jerry."
Just saw this on blu-ray for the 1st time. I forgot how much I really liked this film! And totally agree that this is the best finale/credits Star Trek march score. It definitely has a broader stage (try the CD version with Grado headphones - awesome!).
The oboe and strings in the middle are all about what Star Trek needs more of. Feeling, emotion and character depth vs straight up shallow shoot em' up plot lines.
@FishfilmInc I agree... I actually like the First Contact end credits rendition better, mainly because this sounds slightly like a concert recording and some of the horns become faint when they should be bold. But of course, any rendition of this fabulous theme is worth listening to.
This music wants to make me build a starship and explore space.

This score gives me the chills. Especially the part after "Ba'ku village". I love the strings there, they're absolutely perfect.

@NydusSageRyade Not only that this was the last move before Picard become a pycotic asshole!
This Picard is the same as the TV show Picard. With his wisdome and leadership.
In Nemisis he just hiting people. Like when he hit a Remon and broke the phaser gun in half!!!!
Holy CRAP!

@GSYBE631 The "wider, broader sound-stage sound" kills it for me IMHO, it sounds so muddled.
