Latin culture is the product of 500 years of different cultures from different parts of the world coming together in Latin-America from Argentina to Cuba. So we have catholicism, romance language, cuisine which was highly influenced by Europeans. In Dominican Republic which is where I am from we have Taino words that was incorporated into the spanish language like hamaca and Jibaro. African music and european music mixed to produce many of the Latin rhythms. That was enough for todays lesson.
