  • My tagging in the background!!! Ah I love taking pictures there. Good place for video too.

  • The iron giant !!!

  • Th

  • Omg, I'm in LOVE! <3

  • gosh eisley! you are the best!

  • STEAM PUNK!

  • Video is bonerific, song is bonerific, Eisley is bonerific....

    Yes I have a boner.

  • Love you Eisley.

  • Does any one know where i could find the sheet music to this?!?!?

  • Brilliant concept for the video and as always the song is wonderful. Eisley is simply fantastic in every way.

  • By technology I mean those who control the technology and control us with it... anyways you get it. Just my opinion.

  • Hidden messages it seems throughout this video. People controlled by distorted reality caused by the media. Symbolized by them walking around with tv's for heads. Technology taking control, symbolized by the robots. As they (we) approach (the year) 2012 in the video (2:27) people start waking up and taking off the tv's which symbolizes breaking free from the grip of mainstream media reality distortion. Then they start waking each other up and at the end confront things as a united group.

  • these guys always have a few good videos & this is the best one yet.

  • Amazing, brilliant song and video. Surely the world domination must be at hand.

  • I ordered The Valley at a local HMV probably 3 months ago now and it's still not in apparently... Something about the distributor in negotiations or something... I guess I should try to order online from the Web site instead...

  • wonderful work i like it

  • STEAMPUNK. Oh this video, not to mention this SONG is so amazing. Catchy and memorable, possibly not the highest, but who gives a crap. Songs are about meaning and depth, not about how catchy they are!

  • Those girls are so beautiful!

  • Very steampunk and Mirrormask-esque. Really cool!

  • Love the message! Keep on being your eclectic selves Eisley!

  • Pretty beast video

    Gotta love Eisley!

  • Friends don't let friends do helmets.

  • There's a narrative here, whether you like it is up to you:

In an old steampunk building, the band tries out virtual reality helmets (flashback during the song's bridge). The helmets let them see the real world around them, but also show them a collection of scary VR robots. They freak out and run. Finally, one by one they realize "Oh yeah, I can just take the helmet OFF." They do. Ta da! No more robots! Perhaps virtual reality helmets are not the ultimate gift for this holiday season.

  • @uke4ia wow you're right, there is a narrative. It took 5 views and your comment to see it but it's there.

    I still don't like it :P

  • @uke4ia 2012.

  • I fell in love with eisley back in 2005! This video only makes me love them even more. Amazing. They all look so beautiful. I hope they make more videos. They always like to tease us first, ha but i don't care. Everything they do is worth the wait.

  • WOW. sweet.

  • Between this and the "Memories" video a few years back, I'm really impressed with Cory Sheldon's work. Now that Eisley isn't putting the magical realism in its lyrics anymore, they should keep working with him and have him supply it visually.

  • I love stacy's hair!

  • Oh my gosh this is so cool. yet it kinda creepy...but in a good way. :D

  • Such an awesome song and video! Love it!!!

  • I love the video, there are some odd parts, but loved the Steampunk style, and, as some people said, the fact that the robots look like something Sherri normaly would draw. Well, i loved the whole video

  • Hmm...it's an interesting video and I like it, just not what I was seeing in my head.

  • Brilliant! Wonderful! My brother Cory put this together :D

  • Wow - I never realized how much the girls looked alike until this video! Since you can only see their faces, without hair color, I had to watch it several times to figure out which one was which. Very, very cool vide. Love it!

  • the more i watch this video, the more i fall in love with it<3

i think it's saying that over the years, we've been relying so much on technology that our minds don't really hold our own ideas anymore when they're too focused on industrialization and society. in the end, we all just really need to be our own person.

ironic though, that if that's the message, it took a bunch of special effects to tell it! haha.

  • Chauntelle looks so much like Sherri ! so pretty :3

  • i love the end of the video.

we're coming to get you Stacy

    chauntelle is my fav.

  • So amazing. I love them HARD. And they all look so beautiful!

  • Loved lovedddd the beginning. So cool! Wish there was less 'acting', more of their mouths moving to the song. The song is so wonderful and you girls look AMAZING- you give me goosebumps!!

  • watching it the second time, i do see a lot of parallels between this video and invasion, with the style of memories. i still love it though, you can't go wrong with steampunk(;

  • This video is so awesome and different! Very Eisley! I love it! It actually has a story unlike most music videos these days.

    I love Eisley<3

  • this was really worth the wait! ahhhh gosh i love this video so much! :D eisley forever<3

  • my god. this was absolutely amazing. best video for them so far by a long shot. love you Eisley you guys always amazing, and Boyd was right Cory has come a long way :D

  • i've been an eisley fan for years and i must honestly say this is probably the worst music video i have ever seen... no offense. ouch!

  • @marabellemelody my thoughts exactly, it's really an injustice :/

  • @marabellemelody The I Wasn't Prepared video was pretty bad.

  • "The Valley" Music Video script abridged.

    EXT. OVERGROWN RUNDOWN "ARTSTY" BUILDINGS

CORY SHELDON WHACKS the AUDIENCE in the face with a sign reading "STEAMPUNK"

CGI EISLEY runs around pretending robots are chasing them.

CARTOON ROBOTS pixelate around, sometimes wobbling in the vague direction of EISLEY.

Eisley: Our heads are fake or something? Whatever we trust this will be relevant to the lyrics.

Cory: This is a music video?

They RUN AROUND some more. Eventually they're no longer CGI.

  • I think they used body doubles & dubbed the faces in later.

  • @mbrown603 if you followed them on their media site, you see that it was actually them doing all the acting!

  • @MyRetroMeltdown I know. I was just joking. The idea of hiring people to wear blue screen buckets on their heads in your place struck me as funny. I wonder if that is what the had to do? Wear some blue or green material over their head during filming.

  • Would you guys just get famous already? I'm tired of having to go into ong explanations about why I'm so obsessed with Eisley's music.

  • @mbrown603 LOL sooo true

  • Love this! To me these images seem like they are the stuff that Sherri draws/paints. So cool!

  • BEST VIDEO EVER! I think it was amazing...and everyone looked sooo good! God, I love Eisley.

  • This is great.

  • Quirky, weird, Tim Burton-esque; I smiled the whole way through. I liked it.

  • the beginning tripped me out so hard

  • Amazing :)

  • Brilliant video!

  • Lovely!

  • best band ever

  • is this a tim burton film ?

  • Great job DuPreeeees! (and Mr. Sheldon)

  • This is too awesome, I guess it was made with the same guys from that Memories video which I love so much ! Great video ! Please don't stop making fabulous music and video !

  • By far my favorite Eisley video. So not what I was expecting and so pleasantly surprised.

  • Cory Sheldon, the director of this video, did Bethesda's video for "Dreamtiger" at the same time he was planning "The Valley." Google dreamtiger and Bethesda, and you can view it.

  • Eisley never lets me down. Seriously, they are always so ahead of the times and so unique in everything they do.

  • Who directed this?

  • @olimario Forgot his name.. but it's the same guy that directed the video for "Memories"

  • @TheFireKites Cory Sheldon? He did the Memories video.

  • @TheFireKites He has come a long way. Good for him.

  • @olimario It's Cory Sheldon. And yeah, he did 'Memories' as well.

  • Awesome!

  • Loving this concept. It reminds me of 'memories' video which is lovely!

  • nice

  • Steampunk Eisley!!! <3

  • love everything. this is more than what i hoped

  • so amazing
