The only Peterson that I have with the p-lip is a small dublin. I don't think that the p-lip would be so bad on a nice, bent styled pipe like that, but it doesn't really make life easier on mine. It's been hard to find the old Squadron Leader lately.
I smoked the pirate cake for the first time today compliments of TheWanderingRecluse and I thought it was great. Smoked tasty all the way down. Great video.
@degenetron I agree that it IS overhyped! But it doesn't smoke the same until you've killed a few bowls of baccy in it ya know. I rarely clean the bowls when I'm building a cake.
As for breaking it in.. I think the whole idea is overhyped.. just dont clean the bowl.. smoke it regularly and clean the stem.. not the bowl .. thats about it.. 20 smokes dow the line.. it is broken in ;)
@degenetron I tried penzance once. Didn't care for it. Maybe another time I may like it. My Peterson seems flawless. I don't see any fills. Seems good to me. What other Petersons do you have? Thanks

Beautiful pipe there. Just recieved a new 302 myself and im trying to tame it as we speak ;)
You got some fatass silverwork on yours.. fatass as in broad and impressive ;)
Any faults in the briar on it? i've got 4 petersons now and only one without pits..
You're not alone in thingking SL is the shit though.. people all over the forums seem to adore it.. personally i prefer Penzance.. but thats just me.
