I think that the video is about, in the older looking parts, when they were younger, and were best friends, and made real homemade type videos, and the newer, better quality stuff was about how Charlie would make it now, but he cant because he doesn't see Alex as much. Also, at the end, when Alex shows up, they are reminiscing about the old times. Well,, that's my opinion anyway :)
