This was the BEST lineup of Wings. Jimmy McCulloch was a whiz kid on guitar and Denny Laine was good songwriting partner not to mention Paul really seemed into rocking- some really good hard rocking songs with that 70's/80's feeling plus he seemed to be happy and energetic unlike today when he seems kinda laid back and sad after all he went through after Linda died
I wish Paul would do this one on his Up and Coming Tour! oooo ooooo Ive called your name....every night since then......Paul plz....call me back. oooo oooo babeh....gotta call me back....pretty babeh......tell me baby what can i do............????????????? (((tee hee)))
paul cant sing like that any more(i understand why) his latest live album is so bad.i think mac was at his best here;loved his voice between 73 and 89(and beatles years 2),after that you can tell that he just doesnt have that jolt and push to his singing.
i think McCartney allowed some local Seattle guy as i recall, (i lived there unfortunately) to record this. it's fascinating as it is UNEDITED and shows: how fantastically great paul was b. how excellent Jimmy was and C. just how DREADFUL the backing vocals were - which is why they were redone, an unfortunate penchant for which, Paul did since beatles days. (shea stadium was 90% redone.)
Could you tell me please what do you mean? There was any trouble between Paul and the others that you mention? I'm not from United States, but I'm a Paul's fan...and I just want to Know a little more about what happened...
@jocas92 There was trouble between Paul and Denny Laine near the end of Wings. Denny was jealous of Paul and Paul didnt help by making sure he was always center of attention. basically Paul has terrible peope skills and bosses others around- that part of George and Ringo's reason for leaving The Beatles too. otherwise Paul never sacked anyone- they just left to do their own things. Plus of course band members never got as much money as Paul -even in the Beatles Paul took more than was fair
@QueenBeatlesWings , thanks for answering.. What I wanted to know is about
JhanRombo 's comment." Tribute to all those wonderfull white motherfuckers horsemouth shouters from New-O'leans Louisana, you name them: Dr John, Leon Russel..."......???....What does this mean??..........thanks again

@ImpressionSunflower aw, my poor baby.... I hate that fact, about getting older.. you start losing everything, some it's physical, some it's mental.. but in the end.. somethings going to get you.
He was at the top, at this point, when the subject is his voice. McCartney is still a genius (and, from his work till today, will ever be), but, at this time, his voice was just fantastic, and he was still able to compose marvellous tunes.
One of my favorite live Wings performances...McCartney still knew how to improvise at the end. His vocal gymnastics here rip the studio version to shreds, it's on a par with "Oh! Darling"...
Great blues more of other beatles

I love that he can do a throat ripper like this, and then on the same album do a 20s inspired song and a beautiful song like "Love in Song."

of course, don´t call you back again, with those amounts of money you were making with your concerts, you didn´t want to split your dollars in four.

Yeah, Denny also mocks Jimmy when he plays his guitar solo. Denny puts his cupped hand to his ear, and makes it seem like "Louder, Jimmy!"

How can man have a voice that rocks that much and then turn around and sing Blackbird?
