@dethman351 Yes Frontline is very much like Battlefield. Its actually a great game if your a Battlefield fan and looking for something a little different. This and Homefront are the next best thing to BF multiplayer though I felt this game had a better single player campaign than Homefront.

the game could have been great.

the shooting was satisfying, the sound and graphics were great, the general design was cool and featured lots of action.

but it had such idiotic design decisions, very unbalanced weapons and vehicles, overpowered unlockables, a useless squad system and absolutely zero communication possibilites( not even the text chat worked because it appeared in the same window with death messages, making em disappear in less than a second)

The download took a long time--like over 12 hours, but it did complete successfully. It did not stop while downloading as far as I know. However, when I opened the game, after it installed DX9, OpenAL, and Visual C++ I tried to launch it without success--looked like I was getting 2-3 FPS on the opening screen. I was defragging my drive at that time but don't think that would be the cause. So I will try again later.

My comp is definitely up to running this game so I will have to figure out what the issue is after defrag is done. Perhaps it will run ok at that point. So far as I know doing a defrag should not cause such extreme issues opening/running an App.

I played this game non stop when it first came out and i always had one of the top 3 score on the 50 man maps.The reason why i quit was because the team classes werent balanced. For example ,the russion team can get stupid kills by just putting their turrets on a spawn point.

I think they should make a sequel cause this game definatly puts some creativity into the whole "battlefeild" genre. OR AT LEAST fix the bugs and exploits that it already has.
