They are both a waste of money. I just bought a Dell Studio 15 for $1,500 (less expensive than the average cost of both these computers). It has 3 times the ram these computers come with standard, a faster 3 MB L2 processor, a 512 MB ATI graphics card (plenty enough to play most newer games on at least medium settings), and a built in blu ray player. Think! This computer is cheaper than both of these and contains all of these extra amenities. Is portability really worth an extra $1K to anyone?

My studio, for one, was $1,491, to be exact. So, no, the base model Air is not cheaper than my Studio. Also, you're missing the key point: the specs on my computer are MUCH better than those on the base model Macbook Air, and I paid less. The only thing my computer lacks over the base model Macbook air is that the Macbook air's processor has a 6 MB L2 cache. Mine has a 3 MB L2 cache. But, my computer also has a 2.53 GHz Intel Centrino duo processor. The Macboook air's processor is a 1.88 GHz duo

No, you're missing the point. They don't make and sell the Adamo and Macbook Air for power, they make it for looks, size and weight.

Also, stop rattling off facts from a specs sheet you don't even understand. You don't have a 'Centrino' processor, Centrino is Intel's name for laptops that package a Core 2 Duo processor (what you have) with Intel ethernet/wireless cards.

I am not missing the point. I know EXACTLY what the Macbook Air and Adamo are for. I will not pay more for "looks". "Looks" are not expensive to modify. And I think a standard 15" laptop has dimensions and weight that are perfectly suitable for portability. I carry it with me all day and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Also a virus cannot "kill" your PC. If you know what your doing you can delete even the nastiest virus in Safe mode. If worse comes to worse than just do a clean re-install and you'll be fine.

As for Vista, well, it may not be the fastest thing ever it still isn't terrible. Windows7 is faster and safer than Vista anyway.

Windows7 will give Apple a nice punch in the gut.

i dont get it, i have a custom computer with 3TB's storage, 3 seperate 1TB hard drives, each hard drive running a different OS. One running Vista, one running XP, and one running Linux. Now so many mac fans say that macs never get viruses, and PC's always do, and that Vista sucks....well lets see, i just recently put antivirus software on after having Vista for a year, and it scanned and found no viruses, and i havent had a problem with Vista either...stop lying you guys!
