well done. the concept of firefighter paramedics needs to be extended to the whole of the fire and recue service. it works in the USA and it will work here too. in some areas of the uk some brigades are using AED'S its time to role out extended training to selected fire services eg LFB.

@mugajugz08 if u go on PUBLIC JOBS.IE u can find out

only thing is if u join the auxiliary fir service and if u have done well in school

it may not take u as long

it took me 6 years to get it

its all just compation

u also may want to cheak out the fire brigade web site its very helpful

@1212shero Hey there, thanks for the info man, Iactualy was in the AFS in meath for over 5 yrs, loved it, and yea I did reasonably well in school, i did the aptitude good few yrs ago in croke park hogan suite, found videos quite tough trying to remember everything going on in video and putting it on paper, does the format for aptitude tests change each time they recruit or is ti same??? any info greatly appreciated
