  • George Rosey (eigentlich Gabriel E. Rosenberg) stammte aus Düsseldorf, wuchs in der Schadow-Straße auf. Seine einst berühmten Märsche werden leider heute selbst in den USA nicht mehr häufig aufgeführt. Er war übrigens Jude - ob man das wohl gewußt hat, als man diesen Marsch am 17.04.1935 (!) einspielte?...

  • Thanks for sharing this rare recording; "Motor-Marsch" was composed in cca. 1905 by German-born George E. Rosenberg (1864-1936, died in New York), under pseudonym George Rosey; Willi (Wilhelm) Thiele (1887-1954) and his orchestra recorded it for Telefunken on 17.04.1935, in Berlin.
