@misshopefulfuture The unlimited is like $30. The 150mb is $15. I guess you could talk a salesperson into giving you the phone without a data plan, but you would pay by the mb if you used 3G. Paying by the mb = way more than $30

how is the devour a step up from the droid? did you mean in keyboards? if you didn't, the droid is way more powerful with a Arm® Cortex™ A8 processor 550 mHz. try running live wall papers and blaze across the internet with the devour.

Go for the Palm Pre Plus or an unlocked Google Nexus One. The N1 costs a lot more upfront but service will be cheaper.

Motorola backflip wud have to be the best phone on att's lineup. the devour shows promise but the larfe form factor and lack of shortcut keys decreases its chances of being on the level of the backflip

i love my backflip, it hasnt failed on me once. a lot of people say its slow, i dont get it, ive had it for about a month now and its still lightning fast. after going through the tilt, and fuze, the backflip is a great upgrade. you need to change the browser to skyfire, and use advanced task killer every other day. also resetting the phone every once and a while helps.

Devour FTW!! Even though I'm a AT&T subscriber. I knew the Backflip is a crappy phone. I try it at my local store hated it slow rigged. and it's sucks that it doesn't have GOOGLE SEARCH BAR. Motorola have more love for VERIZON than AT&T. Cause AT&T still crap and have lots of crappy phones. I'm waiting FOR A GOOD ANDROID PHONE.

With Android, yes. Even if it doesnt have an onscreen keyboard, you can download BetterKeyboard (free) from the Android MarketPlace to text with an onscreen keyboard.

I feel the same exact way about the keyboard in terms of it being a toss up, and it would be except for one thing... the Backflip's keyboard is backlit so you can see it in a car at night or somewhere where you don't have access to light. That's what makes the Backflip's keyboard the winner for me.
