  • Jah..

  • her horses heads don't touch their chest? They hold them how they're ment to. And her horses love her. Some people just don't know what they're talking about..

  • yes, she has talent to be able to ride Grande Prix and win a bunch, but I hate how she ruins and brings pain upon the horses (by using Rollkur) just so that she can win a bunch of awards and medals.

let me just say this, and give me thumbs down if you want. A classical rider who is fair to his/her horses and trains his/her horses correctly is a million times better than a rider that uses Rollkur but wins every medal out there.

    that's just my opinion...

  • I admire her. She's a good rider, and her programs always impress. Well done Anky!

  • Noiddance: of course the rider must keep the contact to the mouth, but that doesnt mean you never give in to the horse a litte. When the horse reacts correctly to your aids, you should losen a bit, let it carry itself until you notice the effect of the aids losing and you need to correct the horse again.* Horses of that level? What you discribed sounds more like basic ponies at some ridingschool, certainly not pro dressagehorses. If a horse does such, the fault is in the rider.

  • I love how people constantly rip apart anky, but on videos of amateurs, they kiss their ass.

I am personally not a fan of anky or rollkur, but she must be doing something right to be so successful. If she were as cruel and as awful of a rider as you knowledgeable people say she is, she would be nowhere near world class. Abuse like what you are trying to accuse her of shows and would keep her from advancing as a rider.

  • couldnt we state the same of many rodeoworld-stars? They couldnt have done nothing even close to abusive for achieving such high place in what they do, could they?

  • like what bluebot said - go argue with Anky about it if you think its horse abuse im sure she would shut you up straight away and you would look like an idiot!

  • god people, just leave her alone, she's a great rider and deserves all the respect she can get

  • pauvre cheval :(

  • Stop complaining people, lets see you do anything near that level of dressage, eh?

  • Anky is judged on what she does in the ring...if you didn't know it was her and that she trained RK...you'd be raving how great she is...I tried it once - actually. I made videos of horses and said 'this one never uses rollkur' and people raved all over the internet on how beautiful and classical it was. I took a video of a non rollkur horse, said it was trained with rollkur, and everyone bit**** about how bad it was. It takes a very experienced professional to actually see the difference.

  • Horse sports-men(and -women) DON'T know the BASIC anatomy, know NOTHING about the influence of bit, spurs and muscules of their own horses!!!

Even standart dressage changes neck bones in ANY horse!(That is for example because it's th most evident..) And rollkur and hyperflexion just continue maiming and disfiguring neck bones, muscules and MANY other inner injuries created by dressage before.

So what professionalism of "seeing rollkur in horse or not" can be ?????

  • This horse is elevating his front end has excellent swing from his shoulder and is flowing very nicley. How can you say that this looks like crap everyone that dosent like it. Obviously you dont know what Top World Level dressage is supposed to look like. This isnt Classical Dressage people its Competition Dressage and its 100% different. Get off your high-horses and stop picking on one of the WORLDS most talented riders, unless your one two, then you can complain all you want.

  • People, are u blind?? It looks terrible and it is, trust me!! I can only imagine what feels this poor horse...and i must add here we see competition so she`s treating him better than on trainings, i`m sure...i don`t agree with anybody if they claim this is trainig method- its clearly animal abuse!

  • dude its dressage, its supposed to look like that. If you wanna go start a law suit about animal abuse on this animal in the ring, doing it what it likes, i assure you 100% u will lose it. This animal is not abused. If it was abused its neck would be broken. Obviously the neck is not broken cuz look at how relaxed he is. U just head all thise rumors on wikipedia and believe they r real. Go learn real dressag b4 u comment on one of the best page and say that they r abusing their animal!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It is not supposed to "look like" the horse has their chin on their chest, and their mouth wide open! It is horrible! And of course she wins...that is what the fans want to see, and the judges just let it go. I suggest you look into the anatomy of a horse before you say this isn't abuse. Also I suggest you take a look at Gerd Heuschmann's video and book. It will open your eyes to what rollkur does to these horses. Please do some research!!!

  • how about u. man i know one of the best dressage riders of his age and he will tell you that this horse is not abused. Im not saying that other riders whom do dressage dont abuse them, i cant vouch for that, but this horse is not abused! God u cant read a book about how to ride and then become a top rider. its not like that. just like u cant read a book and be a vet! you go talk to anky and ask her about it. tell me what she says

  • My good, if you look at this video you will see that this is not l rollkur. Yes she uses it when shes getting ready for competition, and yes rollkur should be forbidden, and those who use it should be punished. but its forbidden to ride any dressage competition whit rollkur.

  • Just thought I'd like to add... Horses weigh about what, a thousand pounds? Mhm. Most of their weight is in their neck and head, yupyup. If the horse REALLYREALLY hated it, they'd EASILY rip the rein right out of your hand and charge off, or jump to the side. If the horse didn't like it, you'd get knocked out before you could get the freaking bridle on.

  • Then why have I seen videos of the horse trying to break free from under her hold so many times? and everytime you never see anky losening the reins when the horse does such,no. She keeps the reins same tight from which the horse is trying to get out. When you see a horse acting like that, it´s CLEAR the horse doesnt like it! ** you can always push/force a horse so far.. I´ve seen some horses humbly bearing everything, but some give small signs of their disliking, some bigger.

  • ... yes, you're SUPPOSED to keep your reins the -same- length, If you loosen, horses of that level try to fill the rein by moving either faster or takeing too long of stride, even extending their nose. I mean god she won the olympics TWICE if she was such a terrible trainer why are her horses champions? If they hated it they'd not do anything she told them to do. I ride an arabian who has an ego and hot temper, I know quite a bit about what pisses off a horse.

  • Im not talking about a small lazy try from a horse trying to lift it´s head up for a second (like you see many doing at times, ya know fast lifting their head and again back down?). In the video Im talking about, the horse isn´t trying to move faster, nor is it trying to extend it´s nose. It´s bucking, it´s steps are far away from harmony and finally it just halfway canters/jumps up. My god FORCING a horse with heavy hands is NEVER a way to achieve a relaxed horse, but the opposite!

  • and about "annoyingly" hotheated horses- I´ve seen a few but never did I see the riders "solve the problem" by forcing the horse´s chin to their chest. Instead, they lower their hands, losen the reins a little and do few calm circles to calm the tempo, starting again from what they were doing. It might sound amateur to you, but I´ve never seen it fail on the horse´s half. But of course the rider´s nerves, patience or the lack of it, weights much too.

  • Anky, the best rider in the world??? A really good rider don't use such terrible training methods that she's using! You never heard something about "rollkur" or "hyperflexion"? Do you all accept such horrible methods??

  • shut up

  • Thanks!

but it isn't making you nicer

  • I dont want to be nicer ;)

  • That was to be expected from a Anky- and Rollkur-Fan;-)

  • omg i know right im so sick of ppl bashing on her goodness lol

  • she's the queen of dressage,

    best rider in the world!!!

  • WHATS THE SONG CALLED IN THE VIDEO

  • The song is known as the Tango. It's a composed version of 'la cumparsita'.

  • that is from Carmon right?
