This gotta be the longest series of fouettes in classical ballet! 32 fouettes should no longer be a standard. In your face, Pierina Legnani and Mathilde Kschessinskaya!
I am a huge fan of Tamara, but I'm getting tired of artists having to do tricks, tricks and more tricks when that fouette foot is flopping around! Quality not quantity people!
I love Emilio Aragon's music. It's really incredible. I feel like the choreography doesn't go with it as well as it could, but Tamara Rojo does the best she can (which is freakin' amazing), but the choreo could be even better, especially with such a glorious score, and such a lovely prima ballerina.
i perfectly have idea because i know another version in which t music is lovely...and has a meaning...this is just sound with rythmus...nothing else...of course there is a melody but the melody is shit;-))
@kattheballerina I actually performed in a story ballet called Snow White and Rose Red with my ballet school a few weeks ago, but it was created by my teacher... I didn't have any idea that there was an actual ballet to Snow White at all!
the most horrible ballet music which i ever heard...sounds with rythmus.....with no story,no melody...i hope it s not a new composer...pitty because they are really nice dancers;-)
Thank you, eterpuntocomfan. I recently purchased the DVD and I was so pleasantly surprised. This was an inspired performance by everyone involved, and it was thoroughly enjoyable.
That was so beautiful! I have only just discovered that Snow White is a ballet! Rojo is just gorgeous and her fouttes were amazing and he's very good too.
the music is very much in the style of Pugni, particularly the male variation regarding structure, though the arrangement and melodic content is totally modern. The music for the female variation is wonderful - what beautiful scoring! This solo is more in Drigo's style in the way the main melody is carried by the flute arrangement, with colorful touches of xylophone & harp. I suspect Aragon studied the old Imperial scores, for the music is very much an homage to the era, BRAVO!

no melody - are you out of your mind? the problem is the choregraphy does not properly exploit the music.

I'm pretty sure that you have no idea what you are talking about.
Every song has a melody and a story behind it.

who is the composer for the music?
