That always happens in every SquareEnix videogame I see. The lighting is strange, so if one's eyes are blue they for some reason get heterochromia. It's just stupid. xD
I watched both this one and the remake and I don't see what anyone can complain about. They're both very good. The only part that I saw that was rough was when you show the sword inside of Aerith (or Aeris if you prefer) and I honestly don't see how you could help that since there is never a scene in Advent Children where Sephy stabs Aerith. All in all, both version are VERY good. I gave you 5 stars.

funny; you see the scene of Aeris slowly and tragically sinking down to the bottom of the lake, and that scene was done, in a video game, a year before Titanic came out. A VIDEO GAME did, what Hollywood did, a year later. Like I said; Hollywood sucks (creatively speaking), while games rule. remaking this game on the PS3 is going to be a herculean task to say the least; the original title is sadly dated but its such a good story it deserves an update.

The clip is at the very beginning of the video. It's when we get the first closeup of Aerith mending the flowers and she bends up to look at the sky. I just reversed the clip so she bends back down to the ground. ^^

It's not a matter of skill, it's a matter of patience. xD I worked on that sequence for about two days before I even got it to look half-way decent. :\ Unfortunately, masking is only available in the Sony Vegas Pro line. The trials have masking locked as well. x_X

I really enjoyed that! Great job! I think the scenes fit together nicely, especially the part where Sephiroth smiles (yummy).
The one thing I can say critically is that there was once scene where the sword looked added in...maybe that was just me though.

Please tell me, Im making a video and want to do the same sword masking thing you did at 0:24.... unfortunately I cant find where that clip of Aerith is! It looks like its in Crisis Core right after she just knows Zack has gotten hurt, but I looked, and it's not. At least on the clip I have. Please help me. Thanks.

The clip is at the very beginning of the video. It's when we get the first closeup of Aerith mending the flowers and she bends up to look at the sky. I just reversed the clip so she bends back down to the ground. ^^

Okay, I just went to experiement around after writing that comment and figured that out after watching the clip a few times. NOW Im trying to find the Masamune clip you used to stab through her, PLUS Im trying to figure out whether I can even mask things on Sony Vegas Platinum! Gah. Well, Im trying to use this death thing for my next Sephiroth tribute, and Im really tempted to ask you whether I could use yours and then put your name in the credits... but that seems out of the question.

If you want to use this, by all means do. :) You can use the program called 'Youtube Downloader' and then you can use it to download this video. ^^ I would offer to send it to you but the file is too big. o.O
If you want to make your own version, I used the clip where Sephiroth impaled Cloud in the shoulder during the last battle. And in all honesty, I made this before I even knew how to mask. xD It's all cookie cutter. A lot of fustrating cookie cutter.

I was just fumbling with cookie cutter and damn Sephiroth's Cloud-shoulder hit and I was spinning and twisting, and let me say, you are skilled. lol. Do you know how to mask now, and if so do you know whether masking is available on Sony Vegas 9 (platinum)? Thanks for your help.

It's not a matter of skill, it's a matter of patience. xD I worked on that sequence for about two days before I even got it to look half-way decent. :\ Unfortunately, masking is only available in the Sony Vegas Pro line. The trials have masking locked as well. x_X
Anyways, yes, send it to me. :) I'd love to see whatever you're making when you're done. ^^

Okay! I already have two vids. Up I dont have a trial, its the full thing. Sucks though that Vegas Platinum is POSSIBLY lamer than Vegas Pro. What sense does that make, anyways? Well, okay. Like I said, Ive already made about four videos, but ignore the first tribute, WMM makes me angry. The three on my page showing be the best. O.o Tell me what you think of them if you have the time! :)

BUT...I'm not going to tell you anything else. If you want to know, you'll just have to play FFVII. ;D
And for the record, Aerith is not Cloud's mother, and Tifa does have a brief cameo in CC.
