you can tune drums however you'd like to. there's no defined tune to a tenor drum. you tune them to your preference. and the end showed some pretty decent chops. and there weren't as many rim chuks as i thought there would be in the end.

A helpful hint as well. Try and to not hit the drums in the middle. Like any mid tension drum try and hit 2-3 inches from the edge to get full sound. Alot of strokes were dead center... giving you a dead sound. Other, good job.

Watch your playing areas. Playing in the center of the drums gets you a dull 'barky' sound, try playing about half way between the rims and center. I suggest Quad Logic and Rudimental Logic they'll make you beast. Also, don't move your upper arms when you're playing it makes your shoulders fly. That may be hard because of how close the drums are, you can get Dynasty j-bars and they'll still work in a pearl while holding them farther away. good luck :)

uum well it looks like ur heads are white coated..so my advice on playin areas would be to get some pin striped ones or play on some w/ pin stripes if ur school has any. you want to play barely off the pin stripe, get used to this. and then once u play on the white coated heads u'll automatically play in those areas out of habit. and i agree w/ snare boy get Quad Logic its a great help
