This is a good video and no doubt useful to some people but what I don't understand is why would you want to put Android on a Touchpad when the best thing about it is WEBOS. If you want to use Android why not just buy an Android tablet.
Is this ANDRIOD better than the other one you showed us how to install? The other one i think is called ginger bread. The only problem i have with ginger bread is that when i plug my head phones in the speakers stay on.
thanks it worked but can you tell me why my screens blinks every time i click on something in also when i click the home button it goes to hp webos please help me thanks
Problem, I installed preware via quick install just fine, though when i try and open the preware app it sits at "checking device type" I also tried to install chroid via internalz pro and got the app though the app does not work when launched, just sits there and acts as if i never touched the app.
I am having a bit of a problem: I installed preware via quick install just fine, though whenever i start pre-ware it gets stuck at "checking device type" forever. I also installed chroid via internalz and the app is there, though when i press the app it just sits there and does nothing. halp plz. :D
Awesome instructions like always. One question, how you included the extra apps files e.g Quadrant etc in the built, can you make a short video for that too? I just installed the built with your excellent instructions and it is working like a charm. Thankxxxxxxxxxxxx Kyle.

@mantrafiscus I would buy an Android tablet, if I could get one with these hardware specs for only 100 bucks.

@mantrafiscus And Android does not limit you as much

@charlie12909 Because it sucks. It blinks for me too. Just load Cyanogenmod.

It's great that there's Android but it's pretty limited
Still definitely worth 10 minutes to install this until Cyanogen releases their build

The next update will run in the cards, do you think it will resolve the memory issue. I know it is difficult to say but logically yes or no?

vicdoza 4 months ago
@vicdoza You install internalz through preware

@Flyhighutah I placed the .apk files in the apks directory using internalz. rewatch the video and that should make sense.

@GeekisCarnage THanks for sharing with us!

@GeekisCarnage With only 11 MB to play with, I didn't really see a reason to even attempt netflix. give it a shot and let us know!

Is the touchscreen just as laggy in Android as it is in WebOS? If so, then the laggy screen is a hardware thing. :(
liamvg 4 months ago
@liamvg It's not a hardware thing, it is a software thing. just look at the cm7 videos and you will see there is a difference.
