the difference between the turbohawk and the alpha max is the riser. on the turbohawk the riser is cast magnesium, on the alpha it is machined aluminum(therefore stronger).
yeah, i heard about the turbo hawk after i bought my super hawk. the difference between the super and turbo is the cams. everything else is the same. i'm glad i bought a hoyt.
from what my archery guy told me, is that the cams is the only thing different than the turbo and the super hawk. i think its about 10 fps, give or take faster than mine.
You should have just saved your money and bought an Alphamax...the hawk series bows are way to cheaply made Hoyt was a real disappointment with the Hawk series
i would've bought a alphamax but with my draw length, the super hawk was the better choice. i wanted to stick with smaller axle to axle length and the super hawk is shorter than the alpha. the super hawk limbs are much better than the power hawk. they now have a turbo hawk out but its the same thing but different axles and 14 fps faster.
the alpha max is 300 dollars more.. how is that saving money? The hawk series are great bows. The turbohawk is nearly the exact same as the alpha max. just different risers, but i guarantee you wouldn't have any trouble with a cast magnesium riser as compared to a machined aluminum riser
i wanted a good bow brand but didn't want to spend the money. i know the super hawk is at the bottom of hoyts line but i am happy with my choice. no complaints here. to each their own, i guess.
