The only really effective way to fight chariots and elephants are slingers and peltasts like Alexander the great demonstratet at Gaugamela and Cornelius Scipio at Zama.

It works the same in RTW.

u might have a lot of ppl w/ the title "the Wrathful" because as governor, those ppl had very high taxes, when there are prisoners after a battle they execute them, after capturing a town, they exterminate, or during a battle they personally kill a lot of enemies (that's my guess)

hammer and anvil you push them up against infantrycome around back and smash them from behind with calvalry

to do the Hammer and Anvil, all you have to do is get your infantry engaged in a fight with the enemy, swing your cavalry around and charge them from behind, this should rout them, if it doesn't, retreat your cavalry a little way away and charge again, then repeat if they still havent routed.

I have chariots <.< To me, their only true weaknesses, and when i say true, i mean like, lose with no doubt is to spearmen. You can say archers are pretty good but .... spearmen will own those chariots.

I dont like chariots overall.

Elephants are cheap <.< Even though they are good <.<. I prefer only infantry+cavalry+archer fights. Never artillery <.< Those are also cheap.

it seem you mostly bring enough calvary to counter the enemy horses and mabye do some maneuvers with, enough infantry to hold a battle line with extra to flank with, and some archers so you can at least return fire. i don't play rtw, i watch these vids because i enjoy the strategy but you seem to be the most flexible of the rtw players as indicated by your troop comp. i used to play t chess as well. 18th at regionals was my best. that was in middle school though so whatever. keep posting.

I like your viids where you try other games. You should get that thing like Netflix except it is for games and do more of them. Also, get a controller. You can find one pretty cheap online. Don't get a low quality one because they don't feel natural at all. Just some suggestions. Have you seen the Master's Challenge vids? Very funny. He sucks at a lot of them but who cares.

PrinceofMacedon, your videos are outstanding. I think about Alexander the Great when watching your tactics. You know your military units very well. I only play off line however I hope to soon play online. I play Rome Total War and the Barbarian Invasion. I'm not that bad at battle. I use a conservative approach. I use multiple units and use their strengths on the field. This was a very good battle, you know enough to not tire your units, and that can win a battle.

oh my god i (greek city states) just had a battle i had 5 units of spartan and the rest were archers 1 other guy (egypt) had nothing but camels the last guy (macedon) had a well built army had hopelites, archers, calvery me and him went head out i won that battle but my men were turned around so the egyptian guy attacked i won it went on like that untill the end were i won with 48 men remaining

No, there's a difference. "Mod" doesn't have the same connotation when you're talking about maps as opposed to when you're talking about modding factions/units. Playing on a "modded" map just means someone made a custom map. There's nothing wrong with playing on a custom map since this map's balanced. "Mod" is a loose term.

I think its because Rome only supports single core but with the mutlithreading patch for Empire I can play it with the works, 8xaa vertical synch etc

Prince, I know your computer is very good, does your game lag in Rome for some reason, but not in Empire. I lag in Rome alot on all high settings even though I have a gtx 285, yet in Empire i dont lag at all with highest antti aliasing and ultra settings.
