thanks but the instructions are much to slow to follow. the speaker needs more practice talking through the stitches so it isn't broken up by so many oops!
Thank you so much! I watched your video and have now started an afghan using this stitch. I got a bit confused on row 2 but finally figured it out. I am well on my way now. It looks awesome. Thanks again.
I love this video...I love it being slow....I am definitely a show me person to learn...I have completed a project....by following all your videos...Excellent job...and I refer ppl to watch it when they ask me about how to do the stitch! Thanks so much for sharing!
This is too agonizingly slow for me to finish, but I do appreciate the video. You've got the makings for a great guide for other people, I just hate how slow it is. But it's still very informative and I would probably come back a diff time and watch. Maybe plan it out more what you want to do and say so it could flow better? Great stitching btw. :)
thank you for making the waffle stitch so much easier for me to learn! I spent many hours trying to figure this out until I saw your video! you're the best teacher out there! :-)
I have a quick question for you. How many chains should I start off with; multiples of what? Should it be multiples of 3 or 4 or just an odd or even number. I'm trying to make a scarf wtih this stitch but for some reason the scarf seems to become more narrow as I go. Sorry to sound so confusing! Can you help?
BTW, the reason I was having a hard time holding on to my stitches is because I was trying to work on this piece with my arms between the legs of the tripod my camera was sitting on.
In this sample, my starting chain was 30 with 3 more for the first "turning" stitch. I went into the third chain from the hook to start. My stitches are rather tight, so i always use three chains for a double crochet.
The multiple doesn't really matter, since the pattern just reverses on each row, and there's really no defined edge. But, I guess you could say it's a multiple of three since you do one stitch in one direction (standard) and two stitches in the opposite direction (front post).
ok, pauses while frantically looking up how to do double crochet.

what is the size of your hook?
nancy14980 6 months ago
@nancy14980 It looks like a J/10-6.00MM, that's also the size I am using and it looks good so far.

it would be more helpful if you come up w/ a more defined way of describing what you are talking about. kind of like mikey does in his videos.
