  • OEM Rack w/ a Surco basket rack from Summit Racing and PIAA 520 lights...

  • OEM roof rack with a Surco Basket rack from Summit Racing w/ PIAA 520 Lights

  • what kinda rack was that on top?

  • haha you were whippin that wheel around like.... something that whips something around a lot really fast

  • @grammernatsi LOL

  • Bistchen, there's an advisory on the door not to operate the locker at speeds above 5mph. Once it's locked you can go above 5mph, and it stays locked. You just can't engage it in 4h or 2h without doing a wire modification. I've used it locked in snow above 5mph in 4L, and it stayed locked. You can't go much over 5mph in 4L anyway.

  • Nice job

  • Bet you didnt know that the TRD models un-lock themselves when you go faster than 5 mph. so really, you were going up the hill with a normal diiferential.

  • Theres a reason Yota died in star wars.....cuz he was weak and out dated :)

  • Thats such a bad ass truck

  • Where can i get your roof rack??

  • Steering the wheel back and forth is called "shuffle steer" google it.. It helps a lot. Mud racing. NASCAR uses to clean tires while on the track. Police officers are trained this. Truck drivers are trained this for control while skid pad training. Even short course off road racers use this a lot to keep tire tread free from mud and dirt packing in the grooves of the tires.

  • Oh yeah, we didn't have an air compressor with us, so there was no airing the tires down for the sand. It was still a fun day!

  • I'm surprised by all the comments. This was just a little afternoon of playing in a sand pit. We both had 4x4 TRD Tacomas. His diff was locked. I had 2 sets of short couse race tires. 16's on my truck grooved for steering, and he had my extra set of 15's grooved for drives. I couldn't even get up the hill in the sand, and the only way he was getting any bite was to turn the wheel back and forth. Otherwise, he just buried himself. I had to take an easy trail up.

  • do u have 4x4 or that Pre runner got rear diff lock only?

  • he's not being an idiot, turning the wheel left and right can help you escape a sticky situation otherwise he would get stuck in a straight line and even with lockers youd start to slide, however lockers are good for moving on and thats what he's doing. ive gotten stuck in my vid and turning the wheel left and reversing got me out quick.

  • @2WheelinTacoma ...BUT, remember when rear diff lock kick in then ...POWER STEERING WHEEL will become NO POWER and only temp until rear diff lock OFF.

  • @CharlieDoan that doesnt mean you cant turn the wheel.

  • @2WheelinTacoma Yes, u can turn but much harder...

  • @CharlieDoan IS THIS A TRUE STATEMENT?

  • @sirtubemaster YES! true!

  • hahahahah he looks like an idiot

  • IS that 2wd with rear lock

  • Hurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I'm drivin a truck *beep beep*

  • lol what are you doing with the steering wheel you look like an idiot doing a pantomime.

  • @edrees1o1

Moving the steering wheel back in forth like that, in a 4x4, can help you get traction and keep going.

  • @TrailGator01 not as much as you think it does. if you would have just held the wheel straight you would have had the same results!

  • Sweet driving action

  • That's a nice lookin truck but the driver looked like a 5 year old in a racecar bed.

  • Just lookin for some traction :P

  • @BuhundredReturns HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! thats what it was! damn it I was trying to think of something, but you got it!!

  • i dont think its good to crank the wheel back and forth, but it worked

  • lol

  • What kind of roof rack is that? That's exactly what I've been looking for to mount my jack, gas can, and lights on my 00 Tacoma.

  • Don't know much about trucks...What dose Diff Locked really do...gotta same Yoda like your...

  • makes both wheels spin the same rate of speed no matter what unlike limited slip or posi trac. but you have to have a locking differential.

  • DAMN POSI!!! Can't do burnouts lol

  • @vaming559 REAR DIFF LOCK when u stuck (or prevent to get stuck)

    - When u push the button on the left, behind steering wheel, then:

    - The rear wheel turn THE SAME SPEED to get out from the hole sand, mud or snow....

-Then after get out from the that holes....turn it off, you can not drive FAST if this function ON.

-Hope you understand of my English, I just try my best!!

  • I love your truck! what year and, colour is it? Manual or auto? Im getting the same type of wheels as well. did you take em off an old 4runner too?

  • love those old school yota wheels

  • @Buhundred yeah my dads got them his is a 89 mint Condition

  • That truck is too cool. Old Toyota wheels with that roof rack makes it look sweet. Nice job. I miss wheeling
