  • Dude, Y U NO TALK IN NORMAL VOLUME? ;) Funny video, though.

  • "And the Megachurches who are too busy counting their tithes to care..." Sounds like the Catholic churches during the renaissance...

  • this reminds me of that one time I tried to make a really good point for a really good reason but the people who needed to hear it didn't listen because of my obnoxiously abrasive and un-Christlike approach, and those who already agreed with me gave me a thumbs up

  • 2:16, jordan becomes floating head, neck, and pair of hands. ;3

  • I was so confused the first time I read out of a hymn book

  • 1:01 i love the reference to when Jesus turned over the tables when the merchants were using God's house to sell items.

  • ROFL!!

just wondering if you are christian ;)

    you got it bang on!

  • Haha awww! My friend says father God a bunch of times when she prays! And I love it! :)

  • "...turned over tables..."

  • wow, at first I thought i was going to be offended, but you really touched on some interesting stuff...i don't agree with all of it, but well done :)

  • purple shirt. =]

  • "What is this filth?! I don't want to talk to these people! I chose a big church for a reason!" lol

  • Lol- "you guys are killing me!"-LOL! :)

  • LOL!!

  • "... all of you Father God ways, Father God..." AHAHAHAH!

  • So True. My is mixed.

  • Your a smart kid, I like you XD

  • My church is like a mix of the traditional an un-traditional.

  • Lol his funny. Only thing is I can see what he means, but my church is different. We are not super traditional, but we don't let sin slip by either. We live according to what God says in his word. And about the worship., it is true our lives should be a constant worship to God, but God also loves when we minister with music and i know that for me, I feel closer to God when I praise with music than when I'm just praying.

  • This is so true.

I love his "What!" 1:54 LOL!!!

  • I think the "Father God" thing is hilarious, but it beats saying "um."

  • Ironic that you say that Pastors need soft music playing in the background to have people accept Christ when you play music during all most all of your videos. :D

  • Finally someone who understands the worship dynamic!!

  • UNfortunately,TRUE[PREDICTABLE]!

  • Duuuuuuude,pretty funny!

  • your head and arms look like they're floating in air. LOL.

  • Stop wearing black shirts!

  • Turned-over tables, indeed...

  • have you heard about that church in the Planet Fitness lobby? That is pretty moronic... Hey read the bible every day... (two seconds later)... here's a coupon for one free month at planet fitness because looks are everything!

  • amen

  • HAHA!! In the soft music preacher bit if you squint all you see is his head and hands floating around. pretty funny...

  • My church doesn't fall under any of those categories.

  • @annaLasagna Neither does mine.

  • just saying this guy is anointed!!

  • You hit the nail right on the head!and we wonder why people dont respond anymore.preach the word and leave the rest to Jesus

  • Ahaha, I go to a traditional Church, and to them I'm worse than Democrat, I'm an Independent that defends Democrats. Also I like the "Worship Switch" thing, so true.

  • "And that, Father God, You'd also, Father God, bless us, Lord God, and that you would teach us, Father God, all of your Father God ways. Father God."

  • you are therefore worship is not just singing, so it would make sense to say that worship is not being "turned off" when the singing portion of the service is over. I think it's more terminology of it all that is being misused because worship is a lifestyle not just singing. I don't know, just my thoughts. It'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on what could be changed to the issues you brought up in this video.

  • hahah I started out not liking this video, but then you hit the nail on the head...like always. This topic is an especially messy topic though because how does the church go about changing those things? A pastor can only do so much. The congregation had to be willing too. I get that worship isn't a thing you turn on and off, but you either sing or you don't. That's just the singing worship time. The rest of the time is worship through listening and learning. Like you said worship is something..

  • U r sooooooooooooooooooo funny

  • You should see the Tridentine Mass. I love it because it is so quiet and respectful (music is gregorian chant; no guitars ;) it also doesn't have any of the things in this video. Overall I just love it.

  • @Stargazer4ever15 what? does that mean guitars are disrespectful?

  • the worship thing was actually such a wake-up call for me. and you're hysterical

  • turned over tables... who caught that??? Matthew 21:12 (also in the other gospels)

  • 64 people go to these churches LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Spot on.

My Church is actually a mix-up of the first 2. I used to go to the 3rd one though.

  • OH MY GOSH. I have been complaining about people saying God's name too much in prayer for YEARS. And with the exact same arguments. I broke down and wept when he started talking about that. It just sounds dang ridiculous.

  • What is this filth? I dont want to talk to these people! I CHOSE A BIG CHURCH FOR A REASON!

  • Jordan + Ashton Kutcher = Long lost twins. hahahahaha! But seriously, He's right. He's got the whole point of being a church. Church is about worshipping and serving God and not being a sarcastic one. So stop, doing all stupid things in the House of God! :D

  • mine is the rare 4th church mine is truly nontraditional

  • Interesting

  • SO SO SO true!! LOVE it or should I say Like It?? :)

  • this is so true i laughed nonstop when he was talking about the "father God" part haha!

  • I was at a church meeting this weekend and the one speaker was talking with soft music in the background and then he started mentioning "getting out of our comfort zones" all the time. I had a hard time not bursting out laughing remembering this video. Nice observation here, that's exactly how those things go ^.^

    Greetings from South Africa :)

  • u look like ashton kutcher !!!!!! but ur a cool christian guy lol

  • My church does what the BIBLE says!

  • This is so beautiful. And so accurate.

  • 2:15! The scene with the pastor...that's what my pastor does!

  • Gods name is Yahweh :) Your funny. Good way to share faith with out people feeling like your trying too hard. Or should i say TO hard ;)

  • In the Jesus costume, Jordan look exactly like Ashton Kutcher.

  • At international house of prayer they have 24/7 worship :)

  • "You guys are killing me." Ahahaha, this was amazing. The altar call part was especially painful because you did it EXACTLY the way it always goes. I don't think it's a bad thing, but I guess it is pretty predictable. :')

  • Jordan, OMG you are doing aaamazing things for God...

  • @misabellah14 you ever read the catholics changed Sabbath, and their idol worship? etc? pride in religion leads to quick pride..

  • @LightGesture

No idol worship. We show respect to the images of those we love.

I am sure that you too would keep a picture of a good friend. You would not just let it fall to the ground. You also show respect to the images of those you love.

  • very good. one thing, though... the church i go to directly speaks out against traditional churches, speaks directly about sin in any form, and always points back to Messiah. --They also say the entire time we're together corporately, we are worshipping. so,, my church is not like any you've described. :) --->Adat Hatikvat Zion. C;

  • "worship with God isn't something you go to, it's something you are.'

    TRUTH!

  • I am soooo ADD when it comes to the repeating of "Father God" and so on... Like, literally... I can't focus on a prayer because I'm counting how many times they say it! IT BUGS ME!!!!!!!

  • @RawkFist357 ...and the bible tells us where two or more are gathered in his name, he is there as well, so it's really a fellowship thing, plus music one of the ways we express ourselves, and express our love for God

  • About the worship thing, I agree to some extent but all we really need for worship is God's presense

  • You guys are killing me...no pun intended lol

  • @barremw The saints were Humans and are Humans who had sinned yet had found forgiveness of these sins and then and now follow Christ. (Romans 3:22-24, John 1:7,9) It is my belief that the saints who have died are now resting, just awaiting judgement. They cannot here and they cannot answer our prayers. Nor can they communicate with us. (Luke 16:19-31) Then, I also believe it is wrong to pray to them. (Matthew 6:6) This is what I believe. You can take it, or you can leave it.

  • @NewMaverickHS9 (i am catholic), we do not pray to the saints. we communicate with them and ask them to pray to God for us. praying to God is different

  • @misscommenterrater I have shown you overwhelming evidence from the scripture that supports my side, yet you have shown me nothing. You can take what I say and accept it, you can attempt to prove me wrong, or you can leave it alone; but until you give me scriptural evidence for your side of the argument, I refuse to debate this farther.

  • @NewMaverickHS9 Good job (: Don't throw your pearls to swine, if they don't want to accept the pearl of Jesus, don't throw it to them.

  • @NewMaverickHS9 Go easy on misscommenterrater. It is quite possible she does not know the whole discussion so far. We (catholics) do not have a habit of pulling out Bible verses until the nature of the discusion is clear (which has its strengths and weaknesses).

By the way does what I just gave count as scriptural evidence for you?

  • @misscommenterrater why do you ask them to pray to God for you? YOU yourself can have a connection with God. an intimate relationship with you loving daddy..you dont need the saints to do it for you. God wants YOU

  • @hisprincess1998 well, if more than one person asks for something, the prayer will be stronger. It's more like asking for help in prayer. There's a bible quote that goes something like.. "When more than one are gathered in my name, I will be in their midst." Of course, God will be with one person who asks for something, but with several, the prayer and presence is stronger and we are more aware of it, see? :)

  • @misscommenterrater okay, i do see...but the saints? they are dead. well, dead by the world. no disrespect towards them

  • @hisprincess1998 yes, God wants to have an intimate relationship with every one of us. and yes, the saints are dead (as you said, "dead by the world"). we pray to the saints because we believe they are in heaven, and because they are in heaven they are sooo much closer to God that we are--in a way we can't even imagine/describe at the moment. it's okay to ask for intercessions, that doesn't necessarily mean one is less close to God. sorry for budding into your conversation!

  • @bluevlilac09 its okay:) that is true.(kinda off subject here) but you say they are sooo much closer to God than we are...thats physicaly closer, yes. but that doesnt really matter.its how close your soul is to him. you can be that close. sit on his lap and just talk to him. we arent that far away.besides, his spirit is with us,so yeah :)

  • @hisprincess1998 i agree with you. :) but we have to be receptive to that grace, and a lot of times, because of our human condition, we fail. i'm not one to focus on the negatives, though (but i wouldn't say that we shouldn't strive to grow in holiness). God is amazing.

  • @hisprincess1998 so..yea. i was re-reading our comments. i'm just gonna say i agree with you. :) lol

not to say that you should disregard my previous comment. it's a thought to consider (if you haven't already!).

  • @bluevlilac09 haha ...alright :)

  • @hisprincess1998 yes, they are dead earth-wise, but life is eternal, and they are alive in heaven.

  • @NewMaverickHS9

"many bodies of the saints who slept arose, and came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the Holy City and appeared unto many." Matthew 27:52-53

He was not recounting a vision and was speaking in the past tense. Therefore they are not just resting just awaiting judgement, as they "appeared unto many".

  • @barremw In fact, in Revalation 13:7 the beast in Revelation is given the ability to OVERCOME the saints. Why would God allow an evil being to overcome somebody has already entered his rest, and who can intervene for us? The point I'm trying to make is that those who follow Christ true to His Father's will and word is a Saint and is therefore just as influential in prayer, if not more so, than a dead saints prayer. (Matthew 12:46-50, Matthew 7:21-23, Luke 22:42) -c-

  • @NewMaverickHS9 The beast is more powerful than anyone other than God.

The Saints are not dead. As I assume you know the saints are are those who follow Christ and remain true to him. We add the the capital S for those who have died true to Christ because they cannot turn away from God.

  • @barremw Okay. I'll take that. Here's the catch. If you go to the website biblegateway and type in the word "Saints you will find there are quite a few verses with that word in it, which is why I'm not directly referencing them as there are too many. But, if you even just skim over results in the New testament, when the Saints are mentioned, they are mostly mentioned as being alive and well. When, however, they are mentioned as being dead, it is as being asleep. -c-

  • @NewMaverickHS9 What translation are you talking about?

I searched NIV and got 0 results. I searched 21st century KJV (just because it was first, don't know how good a translation it is) and I got 95 hits only 1 mentioned the saints as sleeping, Matt 27:51-53. That was before Jesus died and opened for us the gates of heaven.

    ...temple was rent

    ...graves were opened

Note the tense. This was over when Matthew wrote.

The saints who were sleeping were the saints who died before Jesus

  • @NewMaverickHS9

Sorry for the sloppiness. I ran out of characters.

  • @MysticalSelah Read Luke 14:25-27 and remember the God will never ask you to do ANYTHING He is unwilling to do Himself. And I'm not saying that Christ hated anybody in the emotional sense, but this verse is why the Father allowed Christ to die.. I don't see how the fact that we don't seem to care as much about Mary as we do the apostles is relevant here. I also don't see how a soul being asleep is a heresy. I'd also like to pose a question. Is your faith in Christ or Mary? 1 Corinthians 1:10-17

  • In God, therefore Christ. The thing is that we also recognize the the ability of the Saints, like Mary, to help our cause.

  • @MysticalSelah, you have a very good point, however it is made clear that Mary's intersession can be useful as demonstrated in John 2:3-9

  • My church is the first one...hey come to my church and do this.lol. :)

  • Okay, stupid comments from confused people are surrounding my comment, but i just want to say @blimeycow , I love what you are doing and i agree with all of you videos!

  • So traditional churches are confusing because they are "old school?" That doesn't make sense. You know how you feel because God reveals that to you, not a worship leader. A worship leader does not declare for God to move, God declares for the church to be moved.

  • @NewMaverickHS9 AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

  • "DO YOU THINK GOD FORGETS HIS NAME?!?" omg i really like that! see? i said like not love. Ya that's right. Sha-boom.

  • He sounded like a legit pastor when the soft music was playing.

  • My church isnt like any of those churches at all.

  • "You guys are killing me." I just got that. xD

  • @slycoperofer If Matthew 12:46-50 is correct, and you are following Jesus according to His will (Matthew 7:21-23), then your prayer is just as effective as mary's 'petition'. Also, the fact that 'A righteous person's prayer avails much' Does NOT overturn all the other evidence I have presented you.

  • lol!!!!! THIS IS THE TRUTH, SO WHY NOT BE BOLD TO ADMIT(AND SCOFF) AT IT LIKE THIS KID?! The hypocrisy in American Christianity and its churches is staggering. EVERY church I've ever been to is one of these listed.... except for the one that my dad pastors. I'm so thankful I grew up in it.

  • @prov31wife1 It's not just American Christianity dude, this is pretty much modern Christianity in the Western world everywhere... sadly :/

    Cool vid tho :D

  • Holy crap.. Tons of my friends go to Type 2. So true!!

  • I love this video!!!! hahah I fall into the Traditional Church! I love the line, "this is the come as you are and never change crowd!" <---- LOL

  • At the end:

    "Guys, your killing me"

    :( anti-joke

  • "worship to God is not something you go to. It's something you ARE."

    Perfection.

  • Oh my goodness! My church does the "Father God" think during prayer all the time, LOL.

  • @MysticalSelah No. Asking somebody to pray for you isn't idol worship, but you 'ask' Mary to intercede for you much in the same you would pray to God. In example, "Hail Mary, you are full of grace." And then farther down. "Holy Mary". Read Matthew 12:44-50, Romans 8:25-35, 1 Timothy 2:1-3 and Hebrews 7:24-26. Also, read Matthew 28:19 and ask yourself why each entity would be mentioned if they were not different, yet still part of God. As for my analogy, you're right. It was stupid.

  • @NewMaverickHS9 Well, as I am not Catholic (I am leaning towards Orthodoxy) I do not pray the rosary. However, I do not think it wrong to ask for the prayers of the saints because, as the Scriptures say, the prayer of the righteous availath much. Furthermore, as Christ defeated death on the cross, we believe that they are not dead, but alive in Christ. So, we have a close and inseparable bond with Christians, living and dead.

    God bless you :)

  • @NewMaverickHS9 Mary is holy, as she is in heaven. Also, we do not ask her to intercede in the same way as Christ. We see Christ as the sole Intercessor to the Father, but Mary brings our petitions to Christ, and as MysticalSelah quoted from the Bible, the prayer of the righteous availeth much. Mary is certainly righteous as she is in heaven. Mary has no divine powers. She simply brings petitions to her Son. The love of God be with you and your spirit. :)

  • I adore your videos! I home church for over 12 years now and this is just fantastic!!!

  • 1:30 <3 I love you

  • Hahah this was so funny

  • sooo... are you saying ALL churches have it wrong???

  • And then there's the fourth church, you know, the one that BARELY exists anymore. It's that awesome church that truly has the spirit of God flowing through it. It's not that this church DOESN'T exist, it's just REALLY hard to find, mainly because people aren't searching for it.

  • @OhMyBeefyDawn isn't that known as "home Bible study"?

  • @FlyingAxblade Not what I was talking about exactly, unless you have a pastor in your home Bible study. (:

  • @OhMyBeefyDawn Such as LifeTeen (Roman Catholic)!

  • @OhMyBeefyDawn They don't usually make it to the news, because that's not their goal :D I'm part of one of those churches.

  • @OhMyBeefyDawn i am sorry u completely lost me

  • @residentevilfreakk55 Haha. Sorry, I'm saying there are some great church out there that don't fit into these categories, but people aren't searching for them.

  • @OhMyBeefyDawn That kind of church falls into the other three categories, because some of those churches actually are filled with the spirit and lets the spirit flow through.

  • Lol! So true. Every single church is like one of those! Those are some of the many reasons why I hate church. Always have, most likely always will.

  • ...i don't think church is all bad...

  • SOOO true! This videos are the best :) My teacher did the "Father God" thing! I kept trying to pray seriously, but I almost burst out laughing sometimes. I counted 18 times in one 5 minute prayer before class! XD

  • At first I thought it was a bit off, but it's so true in some ways!! perhaps a little more about the good things in church, instead of just the funny things. Well done though

  • @frodolz Except, as I understand it, Mass is not mentioned once in the Bible. And what's all this, "Oh Mary, mother of Jesus, intercede for us"? Mary is not God. That's like saying you could convince Obama to like jews if you could convince his mother of the same idea.

  • @NewMaverickHS9 Trinity isn't mentioned in the Bible either :) And last I checked, asking someone to pray for you isn't idol worship. And your analogy makes no sense.

  • This is a very good description of a whole lot of churches out there. Plus it raises good pionts, like the one about worship.

  • My church isn't like this :)

    But yeah many are...

I thought this would be controversial, but it was funny! :)

  • There are many types of churches within these, but I agree some are like these.

    .

  • I went to pretty much every kind of church there is. My Dad is very...Ummm...sensitive and he always felt like the congregation didn't include him or someone made him mad, so he switched churches all the time. I felt like a military church kid. Now that I am older, I feel like I would rather watch church on the computer because the people and the churches are just like this. I feel closer to God alone, and that's horrible...

  • Loved it. You pointed out a lot of problems that churches tend to do.

But just so you know... I have been to a church that is not much anything like any of those.

One that I believe showed forth an amazing likeness to what Jesus would have desired.

Actually... I have been to a few of them. And I hope to see more popping up.

Not saying that there is some type of cult. Just that there are some really awesome groups of people following Jesus out there that live in genuine community before Christ

  • No it's called a running riot.

  • This is why I go to a foreign church. Now I am learning a language and getting the experiences of people who can think outside the box.

  • Christians are you supposed to do this fight over which church is best in the comments come man I mean bob saget why do you have to complain about this I mean are you really a christian or just some guy trying to make a point I know this might seem stupid but just take an overdose of chill pills please and quit trying to make a point on something you dont have to make a point on right now plox trollololololololololololololololololololololol

  • hey now, i use a hymnal in my church and i dont need some dude to tell me "God is moving this morning" if you do, wonderful, but not everybody is just like you!

  • Father God, I pray that you would Father God teach us Father God and help us Father God, LOL!!!

  • Look at ya, talkin' all like god is real n stuff. it's so cute ! ^^ ...

  • @qotsa007 maybe because God IS real, and he died for sinful people like us because he loves all of us so much. it sucks that not everyone in the world knows about him... :(

  • @100chewycandies

Wow, ignorant right there... Let the non-believers not believe dude. + I'm an atheïst,

but even I know God never died, his "son" did.

At least get your facts right...

  • halogen? XD

  • acually 15 kills in a row is a running riot its only a perfection if u get atleast 15 kills and NO deaths...just sayin... ;)

  • OK EVERYONE JUST STOP SAYING THAT HE DIDNT ACCURATELY CATOGTORZIE ALL THE CHURCHES THIS IS HIS OPINION AND HES NOT FORCING YOU TO WATCH

seriously stop, your starting to sound LIKE TROLLS

    NOW SHUT UP

    ENJOY THE VID

    and God Bless

  • My church does call congregational singing "worship," but it's "Worship in Song" and I personally like the greeting I do have to agree with the one about people who keep saying God's name. It seems kind of weird. I also don't like the fact that some people think we need to lay out everything in our prayers. God knows what's on our hearts, we don't need to explain it to him. In fact, prayer is easier for me if I just clear my mind of everything except God.

  • "Worshipping God isn't something that you go to, it's something you are. Scheduling worship time from 9-9:30 makes just as much sense as saying that you're going to make time for breathing." True stuff!

  • For my Grandma's birthday, We have to go to church with her and I don't wanna go because it's the traditional church, Cause I like the Non-traditional and Mega Church! I don't wanna read a hymn book!

  • Your sadly right, most churches do fall into that category. But I know a hand full that don't- including mine. Our church AND youth group are grace centered and Christ centered . Our pastor always says "Grace alone, through faith alone, in the finished work of Christ alone ." Yeah we accept everyone but we encourage and preach genuine change. And mega church? Nah, we're family with DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS. Sure we're not perfect but were not 1 2 or 3. :] Thank ya

  • Whoa do you go to my church? That was SPOT ON

  • Excuse me, I LIKE your vidoes. ;)

  • I love your videos, but I don't think it's entirely accurate to categorize churches into three groups like that. Every church came to be by different means and has different teachings. Not that I think all are correct or perfect, but many have good ideas and good intentions. I think if people are making an honest attempt to worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, that is great! And I think those who are truly searching for the truth will find it.

  • my church is in catagory 1 and 2

  • Does your voice get hoarse from yelling?

  • As a Roman Catholic, I'd have to say this: while the Catholic Church might fall into your 1st category, please understand that our Mass is the way it is, because we hold the utmost respect for God and every part of the Mass is meant to worship Him as he deserves and to bring us closer to Him. It's neither stuffy nor confusing...and since there are no distractions from the reason we're there, it is certainly not boring.

  • @frodolvz AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • @frodolvz well theres no need to talk like that becuase this is his OPINION hes not stating it as a fact is he? i think its his and your opinion whether its boring or not

  • @frodolvz THANK YOU!!! I'm Catholic also!

  • @frodolvz Fantastic, thanks for standing up for the truth. I do however love his interpretation of the other two types. :) But all of that aside, Christians unite, lets stop criticizing each other and do what Jesus calls us to do, evangelize

  • @frodolvz I think most of the stuff about the "traditional" churches was meant to be sarcastic. There were some serious points, but mostly it was leading up to issues with anti-traditional churches.
