All I can say is the dude that was getting beat showed HUGE courage to keep participating and getting at least a moral victor with the one guillotine. I am a sucker for the underdog with heart.
How old is the ginger ninja? he has good technique but it also looks as if he has a massive ego, maybe i'm wrong but i would love to roll with him the lads who hes's sparring with dont look very good
I havent been doing brazilian jiu jitsu long but i can tell you the red heads opponent isn't skilled...and i would enjoy to grapple the red head...i say his opponent is basically giving him all these moves. I would let this kid try to do all this jumpy shit but I would let him waste his energy and he would get winded.
i think the big point of the video is he has only been doing it for TWO months. He's on pace to be good. As for this jumpy shit you see, i don't see any, he's at a good pace, he just needs to recognize a few more things, like which side to be on for a comfortable guillotine escape. I'm 16, I'm confident that I'm better than him, but that's because I've been doing it for 2 years. Until you have videos to back up what your saying, don't brag about beating a 15 year old with 2 months experience. =]
I've got video at my gym going off about JM (the red head). A new set of Eddie videos will be up soon and you'll see what the twister has to say about this little monster ;-)
Nice ari have to say good help and he is good wrestler too I tell ya guys that helps so much for Ground understanding and balance. I say he is doing great, but I also praise you my friend.
very solid gaurd game, if i were u guys i would start him in bad positions and make him recover to gaurd, then once he does that give good, give a better belt.
I know the adcc/wec comment was meant to be funny... but... This kid could be in the ADCC one day maybe 10 years down the road. No joke. If he keeps up steady training...
Start back at it. You won't be as good as if you kept going from a kid, but you can still be good. I started TKD at 34 and then BJJ at 36. I am now a blue belt working for purple at 38. I don't have the flexibility of the younger guys, but you can still develop the skills.
I would love to roll with him =). That's what is called innate ability O.o. I'm 14, luckily I started very young. That was really really crazy stuff. They have an excellent teacher :).
i can see why they call him gumby that keylock was nasty. your teaching your kids well even if hayden got submited more times he showed great submission defense at his level.
I started when I was 16 im 17 now training for 10 months at 6 months I got my blue belt after I won 3 Tournaments. I owe most of my success to yall with your videos. I wish my instructor was like you and cared but I dont think he likes the fact that I watch videos and talk to the other guys about them. Like the twister he isnt bothered to learn it =\
wow hes crazy good for 2 months of training. I'm 16 also and after 2 months there was no way i was the proficient. His last transition from armbar attempt to triangle was particularly impressive. How much does he weigh out of curiosity?
b.s he has had to prior training in some kind of grappling. his movements are too fluid and his transitions are too quik for two months of trainning. it takes a while to develop a kinetic intellegence of that level in sixty days
Laugh....some people are pure naturals..and this kid is it. Recognizing that he is a natural and that he has a gift is where it is at. I've talked with him and his mother. He has no prior grappling whatsoever, judo, wrestling or jiu jitsu.
I am not sure why people need to 'make an excuse' when someone has talent or is a natural..sad really.
Holy crap, that is ridiculous. GREAT positional instincts, and great submissions! 2 months! thats insane! I barely knew how to put someone in my full guard after 2 months lol. maybe some basic stuff, certainly not setting up triangle chokes from the armbar position. just. wow
A teenager with only 2 months and no prior experience...whateva! That dude has to be a 20 year old brazilian migit with 10 years of training. Seriously, his progress and ability is amazing!
Very impressive!! I love how he chains his attacks, you can see that he is already setting up 2 or 3 submissions as he goes. Get this kid to NAGA and Grapplers quest.. hes gonna dominate..
All that after two months? Surely he's a wrestler or something.. Really technical, fast, controlled. Crap. I wish I was anywhere near as good as this kid. Both of them looked like pretty solid players. Nice work. You must be proud.
No..no wrestling. Funny thing is, he'll watch videos on Submissions 101 and then come to class and pull them off. I say "where did you learn that???" and he says "you taught me."
"no, I haven't done the omoplata with you guys." Then he says " Saw it on Sub 101!" (true story)
Wow... that's some pretty damn great jiu-jitsu for a guy training for 2 months! Not only does he manage to maintain a dominant position pretty much all the time but he also gets some sweet submissions done! Props to him and of course his teacher :)
i bet this kid could beat me, and I'm probably 4 years older than him and I'm an orange belt in bushido-kai jiujitsu. looks like the kid has some huge potential
How old is JM? How much does he weigh?
