hey man i just got a rustler vxl myself. what kind of tires are those? can i put soem talons from my xl-5 stampede on the rustler without changing the stock gearing? i figure maybe the motor and esc would get too hot with them on. what do you think?
u would probably have to gear it down for the best performance. try gearing it like what the stampede has stock with those tires, and you should be good. dont be afraid to play with the gearing pinions are $3 and so r spurs so its not like its expensive or hard to do lol
The VXL tyres are stock Stampede (talons) tyres and running stock gearing with no heat issues, I'll be running Proline Moabs on RPM wheels very shortly.
