Well, basically you have to options for the lower notes, you can either tune your bass down to drop B or B standard, which probably requires some thicker strings or you can just play those notes one octave higher. However, I don't believe I even used the B-string in this song...

@sweetnssssssssssss My picking technique isn't really something that I learned on purpose to be honest. It just felt more natural to me I guess. I think it's because when I started I used both my thumb, index- and middle finger to hold the pick but it didn't really felt right so I dopped the index finger. I don't think it has any major advantages beside that it's a little easier to tap and play fretted harmonics, nor have I noticed any drawbacks.

@senz20 Glad you like my tone :) I always spend a lot of time working on new sounds, so it's mostly trial and error and just messing around a lot. As for the sound quality: I record everything directly with a mixing board. All the guitar tones come from an amp simulation plugin called POD Farm. So I can get pretty decent and consistent tones without needing a complex setup with mics and cranked amps. I know actual amps usually sound better, but this is just a real convenient setup :)
