  • is it just me or do her markings look kind of like rachel alexandra?

  • Rest in peace little one!!!!

  • Remembering you today little one.

  • So sorry sweet baby to Curlin' :(

  • That is really sad. That depresses me... ;( so sad..

  • when i saw the title of the video at 1st i only saw "Curlins first foal" and was about to celebrate till I saw the word "dies" under that and then I almost cried. I've alway loved Curlin. He was my pick to win all 3 TC races, stilll think he just had a bad trip in the Derby (trapped) and fell in love in the Belmont ;)

  • I think they should breed Curlin to the filly that beat him (Rags to Riches) :) (unless they are too related)

  • Tragic and not at all unusual... TB's are incredibly strong and at the same time fragile. Undoubtedly the reason we love them so much.

  • the same day BARBARO died.......so sad

  • Same thing happened to a quarterhorse I had, he shattered a hind pastern @ 29 days old, lost a ton of money and a year in a split second.

  • Barbaro died on Jan 29! :'(

  • Poor filly. She looked so happy and full-of-life and I think she would of grown into a strong mare.

  • so sad.We love you curlin filly

  • omg thats horrible! o she looks similar to RA.... rip lil beauty

  • I bet she tried 2 junp the fence and missed or got her foot stuck in a hole of some sort

  • SHES BEAUTIFUL. IT WAS NOT PEOPLES FAULT BUT THERE SHOULD NOT BE BARB WIRE PLUS I WOULD NOT EVEN LET ME FILLY OUT OF THE FREAKING BARN YET NOT TIL' HER BONES WERE HARD ENOUGH AND DURABLE.

  • @RacingTheMuddyTrack then the foal would be in a barn for a long time lol

  • @RacingTheMuddyTrack BARB WIRES? wtf? where did you see barb wires in stables or paddocks. you just think up something and post it. wtf man?

  • I read somewhere right after it happened that she had shattered her shoulder. The way it was written made it seem like it was a genetic problem. Can't seem to find the article now. NOT that Curlin is badly bred things happen. Rachel Alexandra was the 4th or 5th foal out of her dam and the ONLY survivor.

  • @sremel9 And the only reason Rachel Alexandra survived was because she got a nurse mare...Lotta Kim rejected her.

  • WHAT A SWEET BABY. AWWW. thats so sad!!!! :'(

  • poor girl:(

  • We may have lost a potential champion. This makes me very sad :(

  • :( January 29th is a curse day for horses

  • @Alecramsay1227 why did your horse die that day

  • @nacomagenic How can you not know about Barbaro????

  • @Alecramsay1227 i dont know who is it

  • @nacomagenic There's just new reglementation in his names, thousand and thousands of $ spend in his name researching for laminintis, thousand and thousand of horses saved from slaughter in his name, he just pushed the quest of anti-slaughter, have his DVD, his book about his legacy, have fans who collected money to pay to threat injured horses for owners who can't afford...etc, no big deal...

  • I had the privilege of meeting Zophie and her new foal about 10 days after she was born. The next thing I knew, she was put down. Zophie was very accommodating and I told her "thank you for letting me see your little girl." She seemed pleased at the attention although her filly was a little skittish and shy. This made me so sad. I can't bear to look at the pictures I took of her, but I will keep them always.

  • sooooo saaaaad, makes me cry

  • what a shame. poor little filly.

  • Yes i understand accidents happen. But on our farm we have raised 3 foals and they never got an injury that was un repairable. We dont have the kind of facilities they do. We got barb wire fences, thats it.

  • @BarrelRacer955 why would you have barb wire??!! That is so dangerous! And RIP, beautiful filly :'(

  • it happens, you could keep them in tiny standing stalls all day with less risk of injury but why? Let them run free in the paddock, accidents happen. It's not like they had barbed wire fences or anything. Still sad though.

  • @9showjumper your correct.Luckilly tho usually not.

  • she was euthanized the same day a barbaro ( not the same year tho ) :(

  • :( so sad

  • Her blaze does look like Rachel's, but I think her blaze also resembles Curlin's. He's got that monkey wrench shaped blaze of his.

  • She had similar facial markings to Rachel Alexandra

  • how did she get hurt in the paddock ): rip

  • she was so cute R.I.P the cute litle one

  • January 29th was the same day Barbaro was euthinized (sorry for my spelling error)

  • RIP Precious Little One. May you race the wind forever in Heaven. All I know is this past January was one of the coldest months we have had in a long time with lot's of ice and snow. It is easy to have an accident in a paddock with those conditions. Horses aren't always careful on slippery ground. That is why I keep mine in the barn when we get ice & snow.

  • january 29th was the day barbaro was eauthenized too.. :'(

  • R. I. P. U cute little filly!!

  • that poor little filly, never to become a chamopin race horse like her daddy or a beautiful broodmare like her mommy :(

  • i dont hate horses

  • So sad, she was so cute.

    But it's just fate's way.

  • I don't believe its their fault. It could've happened to any foal out there. It was a paddock accident, she injured herself and they couldn't save her.

  • yeah but i cant belive it got away without being investigated

  • @XoDonutxBreyeroX yo man its personal property man, what kind of investigations are you thinking about?

  • @umarmaxmas Yo man did you see how long i posted that comment ago man?

  • @XoDonutxBreyeroX I understand what you mean - I hope there was no neglect or indifference or cruelty here. She was a lovely baby. It's a sad world we live in!

  • @Ponypal95 Yep, I've seen one injury like that.. quite horrific. But these things happen and its not anyone's fault.

  • @XoDonutxBreyeroX Neglect? Have you ever in your life seen or handled a horse let alone a foal? These are unpredictable animals...you can take evey conceivible precaution and an accident can happen. Brave of you to profess your ingnorance on the internet for all to read! Shame on you for your insensitive remarks!

  • @farleyfarkle guess what I DONT CARE!!!!

  • @XoDonutxBreyeroX they didn't neglect her the injuries were unfixable

  • @XoDonutxBreyeroX God you must know nothing about horses or foals!!

  • @Militarylove2012 obviously, i posted that about a year ago

  • @XoDonutxBreyeroX do you think the barn people are fucking stupid to let million dollar magnificent foals get involved in accidents?

  • @umarmaxmas Apparently the 'barn people' MIGHT be 'so #u.#king stupid', max.as.s....

you really enjoy ripping into others, don't you? And you present yourself as a RREEAAALLL expert. Funny, if I owned a million dollar foal - if I owned a RESCUE foal - I'm shrewd enought to figure out how to keep it SAFE! That's what smart people are supposed to do, right? Keep the animals & people they're responsible SAFE?

  • @umarmaxmas I'll make a point of avoiding your comments - you strike me as callous, arrogant, materialist & unkind. It's awful when any young creature - full of beauty & life - dies. Money isn't always the primary issue (well, maybe for you - not for everyone).

  • @nin12dog wtf did i tell you man that has caused you to be so pissed, and obviously you dont know shit about horses and foals.

idiot you cant survive w/o money as they ol' saying goes 'ultimately everything boils down to money.'

  • it only lived for about 2 weeks!poor little thing!

  • Such a shame.

  • aww that sucks i love curlin his poor filly

  • SO sad

  • RIP!!! omg thats soooooo sad!

  • its soooooooo sad:(
