  • Basil leaves means what?

  • Basil is also known as Sweet Basil or Tulsi. It is a tender low-growing herb that is grown as a perennial in warm, tropical climates.

  • Awesome background music! :D I want to dance while cooking now.

It almost reminds me of Thai cooking with all the peanuts. Good job chef.

  • Also, what are curry leaves? I think of curry as an amalgam of spices, including cumin. What is curry leaf?

  • @RogerOnTheRight Curry leaves are different from curry powder. They are a different type of leaves that are widely used in India to add a specific type of aroma and flavor to the dish. You should be able to easily find them in any Indian grocery store.

  • Curry leaves are aromatic leaves which are used prominently to flovor south Indian curries and gravies.

  • Shouldn't you add the garlic after you add the peanut butter? Otherwise the garlic burns. No?

  • @RogerOnTheRight I think in this video, he actually wants to brown the garlic according to what he was saying. He said "brown the garlic" and "mix with the burned garlic". I think it is an exception for this recipe.

  • Adding garlic to the oil will extract out its flavor completely . Make sure that you cook it on medium or low flame so that the garlic doesn't burn.

  • Very, very nice!

Quick and straightforward recipe, but with a few nice subtleties, like the curry leaves.

Love the presentation of the dish, too!

And the chef is also good to watch, clear and explanatory.

  • u are a good chef
