  • My MBT shoes are constantly helping my feet recover from other footwear. I am forever grateful for them. For my feet they work better than orthotics.

Yes, I learned the hard way wanting to replace my wornout existing pair by purchasing the same pair online. I wore them for a week to make sure it wasn't just a matter of a new pair of shoes but it was useless. Too tight and poor finish caused my feet to be sore, nothing like the real MBTs that really feel like walking barefott in comparison.

  • also good for those who took a vow of celibacy...cause you won't be gettin any in those!

  • Great Video! Fans of MBT's check out our channel for an exclusive video review of the brsnd new MBT design the ARI -winner of the red dot award for product design and easily the best shoe MBT have ever produced in our opinion! :)

  • ugly

  • yeah but honestly wearing sandals every day, I prefer wearing shoes even if I do walk funny.

  • oh , so comfortable

  • MBT- BEWARE

For a US$220 pair of shoes I would expect it to last more than 3 years. i didn’t over use them nor under use them . i know both of that condition will lead to deterioration of the shoe. After one year, the sensor collapses and while walking the sole fell off. When I contacted MBT representative she was about to imply my shoes are more than 3 years old and blur blur blur when I stopped her as it would make me even more infuriated.

  • @susan7si

I bought my pair of MBT about ten years ago in Switzerland - where the MBT has it's origins - and I'm still wearing the same shoe I bought 10 years ago and it still looks and feels great. I haven't had any problem whatsoever with these shoes.

I have to admin thought, I certainly took way better care of them than I would take care of a $30 shoe...

  • These are over $200. TheraShoe at K Mart online $35. The latter work just as well. Skechers are $100. All the same thing.

  • @tiptoe221

"All the same thing." ? You should do some research before making such incorrect statements!

The Sketchers are in NO way the same as the MBTs!!!

The technology used by MBT is their invention based on tons of scientific researches. They have lots of independent studies confirming that the MBT indeed is helping your posture.

Sketchers only copied the shape of the sole, the "inside" of the sole is way inferior to the MBT as well as the overall quality of the shoe.

  • if you will need mbt shoes , you can check that website: best-mbt-shoes dot com

  • IF u haven't tried them (shut up)

  • have had mine for 2 weeks, luv them, took a while to get used 2 them, stop leg ,foot & knee pain, wonderful, all way wore shoes out on the outside heel, not anymore there is no heel to wear out, makes u walk upright an straight

  • This looks interesting. I'm having my ankle fused next week also due to an accident (see the sound of a broken leg vid which I posted). Anyway I'm interested in these shoes. Did your friend find them easier to walk in? Do they feel very flat? I'd luv to hear. Ttfn.

  • mbt shoes are crap they do not help youe back in any way what so ever. but leaving this aside they fall apart after a few months use the soles are paper thin and cost 50 euro to replace dont be ripped off people its a scam

  • Mbt shoes is great!

  • flies in the face of conventional wisdom. more unwanted support in the wrong place for one of the bodies most amazing features - the foot. the quick route to an aching back and sore knees.

  • I would say that these shoes are the worst example on just how bad it gets when human intelligence is put to use. Next to the nuclear bomb, that is.

  • I've got six pairs and less back pain! Need I say more. Oh yes...one more... do follow the instructions oh how to walk, wearing the MBTs.

  • Instructions on how to walk? Dear god.

  • I suppose you are a natural on walking barefoot properly like the Masai, lucky you :) I am not, and thanks to this novelty which simulates this Masai barefoot walk. When you've had >50yrs of using evil shoes one needs to be conscious of how to walk with antishoes, i.e. MBT

  • Really you get special shoes to learn to walk like you aren't wearing shoes? You roll your foot? It's bogus. Take off your shoes...walk. It isn't hard. Why does everyone think you have to buy crap to do something? If walking barefoot hurts, walk differently.

  • Right on! Have you seen the hard metal plate they put inside the shoe to make sure you can't move the foot properly but rely on the stupid pivot effect of a curved sole? It's all bull if you ask me. I prefer taking my soes off and running on grass or sand.

  • this allows you to benefit from walking barefoot on soft sand everyday whether you are at home, or outside

  • no rly its true.

  • Viva la bare feet!! Shoes are evil.

  • No. Look at Kenyans running or walking, or an Indian (from India) or any culture where they go barefoot mostly. They walk on the mid-foot leaning towards toe, heel...with the heel touching down very lightly. These have you walking heel-toe, retain your ankle. Don't be fooled this has nothing to do with being barefoot or anything else, just a novelty.

  • With you mate. Barefooter myself. oh.. not the masai kind.

These shoe companies keep coming up with nonsense. Someone will surely break their ankles in these MBTs. My god that sole is a mile high.

  • Yes, and the idiotic claims they make that it is medically certified and cures bad backs is just too much. Who do they take us for? Complete duhhhs?

Hnestly, if someone is stupid enough to believe this shite they deserve to waste their money and suffer.

  • i'd recomend them for someone with problems walking with normal shoes, for a healthy person I think something like vivo barefoot is ok

  • I also have one of them and i really like them ( I need them for my job as nurse)

  • OMG whats a 'fused ankle'? It sound absolutely terrifying. I'm going to have to google this one. I love MBT's by the way. People wear such shitty, ill fitting shoes - get something like this and you'll wonder how you ever managed before.

  • these shoes are okay, but it makes your calves too tight causing a cramp. DONT WEAR THESE SHOES TOO LONG LIKE 4 OR MORE HOURS.

  • bhe certo portare un tacco a stiletto di 12 cm è meglio ... lol

  • The main reason for foot problems is because we immobolise them with shoes and expensive trainers. These problems lead to back problems and many other 'ailments'. If you already have damaged feet see a specialist BUT if your feet are ok don't under any circumstances buy anything like this!

  • My god, what a load of crap. Our feet have been evolving 270 000 years. These are NOT the answer. They are a gimmick and a dangerous one at that. Got problems? Go BAREFOOT as much as possible

  • @kineticmb Your brain has also been evolving for 270000 years, why it still looks so stupid?

  • @kineticmb I agree it's better to go barefoot, but not all of us are able to walk barefoot on soft surfaces often. In the city, for example, parks and beaches are littered with used syringes creating a major health concern. MBTs are my best option.

  • Seeing the videos is sickening. I don"t know about fused feet, but a healthy foot has no problems rolling. The guy in the video walks like he is handicapped, and that hardly changes through the shoe. If mother nature wanted us to have half round feet, wee would have them.

  • I have been wearing my 2nd pair of MBT's since May last year, they feel like you're walking on damp sand at the beach I have lost 15 pounds and no longer have stress and pressure in my knees and lower back. I work at a hardware store so I stand up all day 10 hours and they are the best ever. I will never buy another pair of regular shoes again. Take the time you have to take care of your back. They work your Butt, Abs some lower back and legs like a motherfucker. I wear em' every day.

  • I am supose to get my ankle fused on june 24 because my ankle cartillage is tolltaly gone and my arthritis is making it worse. I asked the doctor about an ankle replacement but he said that iam to young (18 yrs old). Any body out there knows how it feels when your all healed up??? Just asking because iam in a super amount of pain that they got me on narcotic pain medications amd i just want the pain to go away when i walk.

  • I had my right ankle fused on December 13th. Have gone through quite a lot of frustration in the early months but it is all passed now. The ankle is fine, I am walking normally and am pain free.

I have even tried jogging and am hoping to play tennis by next winter.

Good luck, let me know how you get on

  • Had my ankle fused 4 years ago.Had lived with excruitiating pain for nearly 12 years. When I finally decided to have the procedure I was in so much pain I just didn't want to do anything. Miserable!Anyway, 4 years later I am completely pain free and walk 2-3 miles/day.Advice, ask your doctor if the fused ankle will be able to be reversed sometime in the future if such a procedure becomes available for an ankle replacement. You'll be OK and I bet you'll wonder why you waited this long.Good luck!

  • thanks dude, i just got my ankle fused tuseday and looking forword to weight bering in about 5 weeks, ill ask about reversal for an artificial ankle, thanks.

  • theese shoes are awsome!!

but there much 2 expencive, i could buy a car instead of a pair of them

  • they are great shoes!

  • I had my ankle fused on Dec 13th 2007. Had 2 months non weight bearing in plaster & on crutches which was very frustrating & painful but now have an 'Aircast' boot on for the next 2 months which is so comfortable and I can walk fairly well in it.

I hope that I will be able to walk without support about mid April and I will be pain free which is the main thing.

I am told I will be able to play tennis again - any thoughts?

  • Dear finkpink: I had my ankle fused in 2002 and have been playing competitive doubles tennis at the USTA 4.0 level. In fact, I have been to nationals two years in a row. I cannot run hard but can sprint quickly for a few steps.. In dubs that is all you really need. I wear and ASO ankle brace just to be extra careful..

  • Immediately upon finishing my degree 11 years ago I had to get my ankle fused. The absolute most important advice I can give anyone is to only let the absolute best surgeon do this surgery. It's a very tricky surgery where surgical skill and experience plays a huge role in the outcome. I was lucky in that the dr I had is considered to be a world leader in ankle fusions thus my results have been nothing short of miraculous!

  • Hey man, is there anyway to get in touch with the guy in this video. I have a few questions to ask him about ankle fusion... I'm told it could be a better way for me to go but i'm not sure. Let me know, thanks.

  • alright mate ive just been told ive got to have my left ankle fused after smashing it up in an accident iam 38 & dont know much about it, its pissed me off a bit dont know if i will walk ok again but the moment iam in terrible pain.

  • I had my ankle fused upon finishing my degree 11 yrs ago & the most important thing is to find the absolute best surgeon as surgical skill and tons of previous experience is essential for a positive outcome. I'm lucky .. I saw 4 drs b4 being referred to one of the world leaders in ankle fusions & my results are spectacular!
