Personally, I say that this episode of the beginning of Kanto is muuuuch funnier than the finale of Johto. In this episode you saw more Pokemon that you enjoyed, and we got to see more of those hilarious gibberish translations! You guys never got the Odd Egg did you? Go into the Daycare in Goldenrod and talk to the Old Man. He'll give you an egg that can hatch into either Pichu, Cleffa, Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, Igglybuff or Tyrogue and it'll have a 50% chance of being shiny. Make sure to save state BEFORE you talk to the Old Man and get the egg. This way you can reload until you hatch what you want. It's decided what will be in the egg when you pick it up, so you need to save beforehand.

1. CDR is probably an abbreviated form of "commander" which itself is a poor choice of words since we want something more like "president"

2. "Draught" is actually a British variant of the word "draft" and is pronounced the same, not like "drought" or "drawt". Not sure how they arrived on that word for that purpose.

@Dazimus2913 It's a bit odd for Crystal. In order to get Ho-Oh to show up you have to have caught them. You don't have to use them (if I understand this correctly), but without catching them first they won't let you into the Tin Tower in the first place. I don't think any such restriction applies to Lugia, so you only need to get the silver wing from the guy in Pewter, though (IIRC) Snorlax must be taken care of first.
