I hate people who say being bi is just being slutty or just a choice. I have been attracted to men my whole life being your typical little girl with crushes on Aaron Carter and Jesse McCartney or whatever. But at the same time as far as i can remember i've ALWAYS been attracted to women. Before i even knew what sex WAS or what being gay meant! I thought it was the same way for all my little friends until i got a little older and found out that not everyone was attracted to both girls and boys.

okay so my parents don't know I'm bisexual and i have a girlfriend that i want them to meet. I don't know how i should tell them.. and to note i'm 15 and my parents are really hardcore christian and i tried to tell them once by saying that love doesn't come in a certain sex. and when you say it's a fear of not being accepted by your family and the church.. that's my problem.. how should i handle that?

I think someone's mixing up the words here - they seem to be talking abou being Bi-CURIOUS which is a normal thing that happens in teenagers who might have some of their first sexual experiences (unsually just some touchin' or kissing, at that age, few ppl have actual sex) with ppl of the same sex, perhaps because these just happen to be available, but then later indentify as straight or gay when they have "matured" out of a certain stage in their developement.

Bisexuality/Homosexuality has nothing to do with bad past experiences...Bisexuality is not a pre-gay phase. And I don't think his age has anything to do with anything. Yes, younger individuals do explore their sexuality more, especially these days as bisexuality and gay/lesbians are more accepted, but many individuals have a clear identity at young ages, too. I think sexual orientation has to do more with who you're thinking about, in general, not necessarily when you're having sex
Thanks Jenn, I agree that labels can have negative consequences and can sometimes be unnecessary. Sexuality is a spectrum, I feel like we should all be able to explore that without the consequences of having to labels ourselves as gay or bisexual because many straight people will have at least one same-sex fantasy or experience in their lifetime. I think it is silly that our culture forces us to put ourselves in one strict box b/c sometimes our sexuality is truly not that simple.

As a bisexual guy I think it matters about who ur attracted to and who u want to date and who to have sex with. What I'm saying is that I like females in a different way than I like males. The researchers M. Bailey & R. Pillard did a study on Homosexuals and their families, while trying to prove it was genetic. They found that out 56 homosexual men, 29 had a homosexual brother. among identical twins the rate was 22%. if genetics was the sole cause then the rate would be 100%

I am bi and I generally think about the person I'm with when I'm having sex. I'm like 80% lesbian, by that I mean I prefer relationships with other women but I still like men too. And any "bi" guys that are exploring dating a gay guy, keep in mind that he may get attached to you the same way that women you may have previously dated got attached to you, and that you may hurt him the same way you may have hurt women in the past. it seems to me that many bisexual men don't think this is a big deal and think that because they didn't get attached to the guy that he didn't get attached to him either.
1) He is Straight, and knows that gay men like to have sex frequently and randomly more so than women, and they "know how to please a man." but he is really straight. He wants to marry a woman, he has chemistry with women.
2) He is finally accepting that he is gay, and is still holding on to opposite-sex attractions, which will fade away with time. If he is gay, he knows that he wants to be with a man, and possibly marry one.

I think someone's mixing up the words here - they seem to be talking abou being Bi-CURIOUS which is a normal thing that happens in teenagers who might have some of their first sexual experiences (unsually just some touchin' or kissing, at that age, few ppl have actual sex) with ppl of the same sex, perhaps because these just happen to be available, but then later indentify as straight or gay when they have "matured" out of a certain stage in their developement.

Bisexuality/Homosexuality has nothing to do with bad past experiences...Bisexuality is not a pre-gay phase. And I don't think his age has anything to do with anything. Yes, younger individuals do explore their sexuality more, especially these days as bisexuality and gay/lesbians are more accepted, but many individuals have a clear identity at young ages, too. I think sexual orientation has to do more with who you're thinking about, in general, not necessarily when you're having sex

Thanks Jenn, I agree that labels can have negative consequences and can sometimes be unnecessary. Sexuality is a spectrum, I feel like we should all be able to explore that without the consequences of having to labels ourselves as gay or bisexual because many straight people will have at least one same-sex fantasy or experience in their lifetime. I think it is silly that our culture forces us to put ourselves in one strict box b/c sometimes our sexuality is truly not that simple.

The researchers M. Bailey & R. Pillard did a study on Homosexuals and their families, while trying to prove it was genetic. They found that out 56 homosexual men, 29 had a homosexual brother. among identical twins the rate was 22%. if genetics was the sole cause then the rate would be 100%

You know, there are other scriptures then the Bible.
And I believe I've heard there are parts in the Bible that say otherwise.
I study World Religions and Spirituality. I'd beg to differ. A Heaven w/o homosexuals is Hell anyways. And God loves everyone anyways-doesn't the Bible say that too?
Besides the Bible you read, has ben altered and things taken out and put in so much, you HAVE to be highly critical of it to find what was really written.
And please, don't put words in God's mouth.

@blondrose84 The Bible is the Same as it has always been. The Bible has been translated, not altered. John 1:1. And no there are no other scriptures from God other than the Bible. And thats funny I study them also as a Seminary student. And yes indeed the Bible states no homosexual will be in Heaven. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. And yes God loves all 1 John 4:8. But He also judges all Revelation 20:11-15. I have said nothing in this message that is not Biblically supported.

And btw, yes, even scholars agree, the Bible has been altered. To say it hasn't been shows your naivety.

Actually, I'd beg to differ. I know Revelations does not mention them, I've read that chapter backwards and forwards. And as for altering, yes, it has been altered, in fact it was a noted time in history when that one fellow and a whole group of old men went through the books, editing what goes in and what stays out and of course-altering what they did keep.
Like I said, your homophobic hypothisis interpetiation of the scriptures is your own deal.

I am bi and I generally think about the person I'm with when I'm having sex. I'm like 80% lesbian, by that I mean I prefer relationships with other women but I still like men too. I think when it comes to love and romance it just feels deeper and closer and more emotional with women, with men it is more lusty and not as deep romantically, at least in my experience.

This is a common stereotype. That bisexuals are just going through a phase or are really gay. It's ridiculous. I'm a bisexual man who leans towards heterosexuality. I'm 18, but there's no questioning, no phase, no ambiguity. I know what I am.

no i dont think it is wrong to be bisexual or gay. Hell i think its the best of both worlds i personally would be in a relationship with a man there less bitchy and less annoying then some women (i am not downing women i am just saying i find some of them bitchy and annoying at times i love women to an extent.) but be in a relationship with a man and and maybe have sex with a women so by no means is it wrong to be bisexual and i hate when people critisize gays and Bi's its there choice.

And any "bi" guys that are exploring dating a gay guy, keep in mind that he may get attached to you the same way that women you may have previously dated got attached to you, and that you may hurt him the same way you may have hurt women in the past. it seems to me that many bisexual men don't think this is a big deal and think that because they didn't get attached to the guy that he didn't get attached to him either.

1) He is Straight, and knows that gay men like to have sex frequently and randomly more so than women, and they "know how to please a man." but he is really straight. He wants to marry a woman, he has chemistry with women.
2) He is finally accepting that he is gay, and is still holding on to opposite-sex attractions, which will fade away with time. If he is gay, he knows that he wants to be with a man, and possibly marry one.
He may not even know, which means he will have to explore.
