Nice exhaust and a very cool little bike. Has a street tracker look which is pretty popular with Yamaha XS650 and Honda CL Scramblers. I'd love to see a 650 single crammed in a light bike like this (see Ryka CS-1) but still a fun play bike!
@Poltergeyst it's not that slow. i can reach 110km/h w/ 125cc. only power is not that good. but i need to change the oil and there are some other fixes needed to be done on my bike then it should go a bit better :D i hope so...
I have a 200cc TW after 3k Plus on engine parts and much much more it now makes Dyno run 23hp. Adding bigger rear sprockets to it, Ive had 87mph out of her @ 9,800rpm. She's a 2002 model and looks like I just ordered it. I love TW's have my own club 40+ members.
I did not know they did 250 ones of those but the TW 125cc have been going since before 2001 when I 1st saw one in the flesh. The TW stands for "Trail Way" I believe...
mordeth i just saw you on TV! It was charley boormans sydney to tokyo. must have been a while ago but its so cool that youre on TV and i knew who you were! youre pretty much a celebrity haha
I used to ride one of those mordeth . They can run on sand track as well as roads . Fun in the city, cool for the look too ,but the tires are expensive as hell. However the engine is lacking in lower rpm, so I switched to a D-tracker.
I'm actually planning on buying one of these, they're primarily 'sand bikes' and they've been making them since the '80s! I live on the coast as well so might take it on the beach when the police aren't about ;) The 125cc version isn't exactly fast, but as you said; it really is a fun ride! Oh, and the guy who said it was a 2 stroke, I wish it was mate :'( I wish it was...
I see those bikes EVERYWHERE here in Japan, I think they're the most popular with young people. I rarely see the "traditional" looking sport bikes with front fairings. It's either naked bikes or these kind of bikes with banana seats.
I think they used to call these models scamblers back in the 70's . They were useless off road but looked the part and were barely O.K. on the pavement . You are better off looking at a Kawasaki KLR or a Suzuki dual purpose rather than this . It is kind of useless .
looks like one of those old school bikes you were able to get as a kid... you know the ones with the fake gas tank... i have always wondered where they modeled that after.. no i know....
im a newbie rider and im looking for a bike at around 250cc but there arnt as many choices as there should be, i mean u have to start somewhere, right? nah ill probably get a used 250r
on rain.............. I highside today at 40 km/h...dam front brakes!!! im okay , i look behind then for my bike got up and go all in a flash,,,, on busy traffic haha.....i position my left hand on thye brake since to avoid using front brake on emergency...lol
I'v seen some of these around, but they didn't start out like that. Round here you buy the bike then send it off to be modified, mostly done with sports bikes so you can take them off road not sure why you would do that a sports bike would be too heavy offroad. But they change the suspension, raise the exhaust and mess with the gear system. But this bike looks a lot better than those bikes and looks like it'd be light enough in the corners, was it light enough?
In Hong Kong these bikes are VERY popular.... New they only cost 1200pounds! They dont handle off-road very well as the suspension is crap, but they`re stock exhausts sound awsome!
its a bigwheel not very much power but they do have that old fashon dirtbike feel its a fun bike to just go for a cruise and find a trail to go off on great on gas too
No, unless they were literally touching it. I have a stock pipe and that thing will get hotter than any aftermarket one, and I can hover my hand over it 1mm away, but once I touch it I will burn myself.
i used one one of these when i took the safety rider course. they are very fun and handle pretty well also. i think theyre called duo sport for off road and street. this one looks better than the one i rode though. i rode a stock one, white

the tw200 in the US only makes 14HP. Can't imagine the 225 makes a lot more.

18, but HP doesn't mean much. My ninja makes 68 but it can still beat a 200hp bike at most things.
