Medicare Part D was one of Bushs' worst ideas. It got the government even more involved in an area where it has NO business being involved in. Socialized medicine (or a system based on economic fascism) can never work as good as a market-based system. Not even close. Right now the government spends half of all healthcare dollars...and as usual, the government is messing things up.

a friend was runn off the road into a tree by a carload of teens while he was riding his motorcycle. total medical expenses for his injuries exceeded $260,000.00. he lost a years worth of wages, his house, and everything. he will need care the rest of his life. no-one will insure him and he could never earn enough to pay for what he needs. I'm so happy all of you will be healthy and never need any medical care for the rest of your lives so you will never experience what he went through.

Medicade and Medicare have the lowest operating expenses relating to how much of every dollar goes to overhead than any other provider in the market. And they manage millions of people. And for the record, in Japan, where I as an American citizen live, the average post partum hospital stay is 5 days to a week. I'd love to ask John McCain and Sarah Palin where these families are getting the money to buy healthcare, before they get their rebate. This is just more help for those who can already afford it. So many of us can't pay for healthcare. We won't be getting a rebate. Only those who can already pay for healthcare will be helped. This plan is insanity. Then to tax health care? Go Barack!

Medicare Part D was one of Bushs' worst ideas. It got the government even more involved in an area where it has NO business being involved in. Socialized medicine (or a system based on economic fascism) can never work as good as a market-based system. Not even close. Right now the government spends half of all healthcare dollars...and as usual, the government is messing things up.

the only way healthcare will become cheap is when the overhead of practicing medicine will go down. it doesnt help that doctors are forced to walk on egg shells in fear of being slapped in the face with a lawsuit. not to mention, someone's going to have to pay our $150k+ debt from medical school loans.

McCain's Health Care Plan calls for drastic cuts in medicare, a program many seniors are very dependent on for their health care needs.
McCain has the best health care plan around and he has no clue what it is like to have little of no health care coverage.

Has any one thought to look other places for info on this. people are putting word's in his mouth. He wants to eliminate the programs that don't work, like my mother's Medicare part D, half the meds are not covered with out prior request. Go to mccains web site look deeper. But if everybody's up for a civil war I guess thats its obama for president! Oh! by the way if you like to go hunting, forget it those days will be GONE!!!! IF obama is elected.
