The problem is that the more Muslims you permit into a democratic society, the more power you are granting them and eventually they can turn around and use that power to (democratically) turn that country into the kind of shithole where bearded men are at the top of the pecking order whereas women are at the bottom.

Man I am not sure, but let me try to explain... The left wingers of the free world don't stand for liberty, human rights, and justice as they used to. Now the left stands for one thing and one thing only which is - lack of confrontation. No confrontation with anybody - regardless of the price. The judge diceded that Wilders can say bad things about Islam but not about Muslims..

Ja het is alleen jammer dat je verhaal geen steek houd. Het aantal moslims daalt al jaren achter elkaar, nu is al meer dan 14% van de Turken en 10% van de Marokkanen ongelovig. Daarnaast gaat het steeds beter met de 2e en 3e generatie allochtonen, hun scholingsgraad stijgt, de taalachterstand neemt af. Enkel positieve ontwikkelingen dus.

The problem is that the more Muslims you permit into a democratic society, the more power you are granting them and eventually they can turn around and use that power to (democratically) turn that country into the kind of shithole where bearded men are at the top of the pecking order whereas women are at the bottom.
That's pretty much what has happened in the Netherlands, there are already too many Muslims there to do anything, so that country is already beyond hope.

IMHO the only solution would be to outlaw Islam and classify it as a terrorist organization based on what the Qu'ran says. The Qu'ran fits every criterion and makes every other terrorist group's manual look like a peace message.
The Qu'ran is very explicit about dominating the world and terrorizing non-Muslims, yet the West ignores all the evidence and treats Muslims as normal people whilst turning a blind eye towards all the hatred and violence dictated by the Qu'ran.

Freedom means nothing if you deny it to everybody you don't like. He wants to close Islamic schools, ban the koran, treat criminals with an islamic background differently from criminals without one and a lot more discriminatory things. Left wingers criticise him for that. And there is a lot of room for the freedom of speech here. The supreme court decided that it is allowed to say 'stop the cancer that is Islam.' But of course all of a sudden the judges weren't left wingers any more

I don't think that baning the burka is in order, but there is a colossol problem with political Islam. According to the latest surveys 40 % of the Muslims in europe think that Sharia law is a legitimate source for legislation. They don't destiguish between a personal spiritual choice and a mandatory sociel order - that is the true nature of Islam. The respose of people to this abhorrent religion is understandable.

In the Netherlands the Islam is absolutely no political force and the latest survey from the AIVD shows that the extremist variant of Islam 'Salafisme' is losing popularity. I cannot predict the future but i am pretty sure we will never be theocracy. And even if you are scared for that there is still no need to vote for Wilders. Wilders has no monopoly at advocating freedom. He created that illusion.

You are reacting to a video message of someone who "heard" something about Dutch law. The facts he (deliberately) left out is that the protection by law goes both ways, like it should. Everybody is allowed to say what they feel uptil the point where a group of people (by religion, sexual orientation or race) is offended. That is where the law comes in. The Dutch ideology is that one may express his opinions or feelings, unless his/her words cause hate. Freedom of speech did originate in Europe and a couple years later the holocaust originated in Europe too. If Hitler was alive would you let him speak, knowing that millions might believe his disillusions?

Freedom of speech as we have in America exists partly so that when you have a crazy man talking as loudly as he wants, people can disregard his message.
