I Re-installed this game and i have to say, first time i wanted to beat it, everytime after that....i played for the fun, the music, and i mostly played the last Viron mission because its all about defending one spot from impossible waves of Terrans and the epic ending afterwards.....also to that guy saying about jacobs voice, thats how british captains sounded like....mostly. still great game, glad to have it back on my computer :D

I never actually played this game but you can just think, every rts game I've played some how the good guys pulled out some shit storm victory with a small insignificant amount of men. In this one they lost the war and had to run. That's how war is, the good guys don't always win.

Well, now instead of ground control 3, they created world in conflict. If you played GC2, and then WIC, you will see these games are the same, just WIC is a bit shitier. And then you complete WIC, in many photos you can see ground control posters on walls. And yes, ground control series have the best story i have ever seen in a game. You can create an amazing movie.

I think gc2 was on of the best gfx rts/rtt games of the time. I can be wrong about that, but it's for sute that comparing the gfx of a shooter game to the ones of a rtt is quite unfair, since both genres are totally different.

It's quite sad that this game has an opening ending since Alice said they will be back, but they wont make anymore in this series. But somehow the end of this game fit in the storyline of Free Lancer game, especially the wormhole can be opened only by a device (singularity drive in GC2 and the artifact in Freelancer) and the fearsome alien (elder race and nomad)
