  • I am learning to fly in this plane. It is very akin to a glider. It will glide 1.8 miles for every 1000ft of altitude. There is no parachute on the ones we fly though some do come with them.

  • just flew this yesterday for the first time fucking insane i love flying

  • @khevelone69 oh yeah

  • Note to self: Don't overshoot the runway....lol

  • wow thats a really awesome airport the ground just drops away at the end of the runway

  • Great video :-) Fly low and slow. Happy landings.

  • he wasnt slow,, 120 kts lol

  • Yup, maybe he was hungry. At least he ate up the runway that's for sure.

  • @saevaroa

dont fly slow and low, you may stall and crash

  • :-) Right on hehe

  • @lavakava lets not forget that this airplane is a glider with an engine

  • im training in that aircraft.

  • nice viedo with great music, i also enjoyed my flight in the DA 20 happy landings

  • Great video! Nice to have a good cameraman along! Lovely area to fly around!

PS. Isn't the mag check on the DA20 1700RPM, looks like you had it on 2000?

  • The video is great, awesome.. but the music is just retarded, another "americana" type of nervous rush music like for insecure teenagers... anyway, the video is really good, keep up the good work, and next time, don't put any stupid music... please :)

  • I thought the video and music was great.

Smashing Pumpkin's is a great choice for this video.

  • I have flown in that exact airplane out of Placerville! Its a great airplane! Thx for posting

  • Nice video, Im a CFI and i fly these the C1 at least twice a day. Im a little sick of these but your video made me want to go fly one lol.

  • lol. im starting flight lessons soon. im 14 so im gonna stretch the lessons over time so i can get my license at 17. im pretty sure im not gonna use all the estimated hours. i believe that this will be my training aircraft. or the DA40, Cirrus SR20 or SR22. all of these aircraft look beautiful though.

  • @astoria1019 hey im 14 to and im gonna be taking lessons in one of these two and why are you waiting till 17? I hope to do my solo on my 16th birthday, plus they say the faster you do it the better you remember all you were taught

  • I fly the DA-20c1. Looks exactly likes yours. Nice vid.

  • nice flying! i love the eclipse, we must have told the local tower a million times but they still refer to me as "the katana".

  • just in case you're still convinced this is the katana.. go to FAA Registry N-Number Inquiry enter the aircrafts number (N175JP) which is visible in the beginning of the video ;)

    peace!

    Nice flying gents!

  • nice video but that plane is a diamond katana not an eclipse.

  • Don't take it personally tomato, but why would you voice your opinion when you obviously can't tell the difference ;) this is in fact a DA-20C1 ECLIPSE :)

  • The katana has a prop lever (blue). The c1 does not. :D.

  • Uhh, yeah...and that's why I took a picture of the side of the plane at the very end of the video and it says "C1-Eclipse" :)

  • Katana = 90 or 100 hp engine. Eclipse has 125 hp.

  • There are Katana's out there that are the C1 with the IO-240 (125 HP).

  • Well done video! DA-20 is a nice looking plane. Wish my flight school had one!

  • I really enjoyed this video! I love flying an Eclipse.

  • cool video
