  • miren al final, todos los músicos aplauden agitando sus arcos! son geniales

  • julia opens the bosom too much...

please make us concentrate on music

  • 4:32 julia: game on bitch

4:42 daniel: whos top dog now!

  • 6:28

Girl: dar har der phar har

    *whack wack whack*

  • Amazing beautiful!

  • nice boobs

  • Wow!!!

  • Simply stunning!! It blows other recordings of this out of the water. They play as if there is nothing between them. I would have loved to have been at that concert. I bet this video doesn't do the performance justice. These two are phenomenal. Such an intimate performance.

  • I love it when musicians put their body into the music! My favorite is when a violinist with long hair does a head bang in the middle of their performance and their hair goes flying in every direction!

  • pure intensity starting at 5:56

  • hes picking hes nose man

  • Deux instruments qui vont vraiment ensemble !!! C'est vraiment très beau !!

  • I have Julia's album, simply spectacular!

  • Very difficult to play. Wow

  • the laugh at the beginning was so cute! they play sooo well together.

  • at 4:38, you can see the drips from the cellist's sweat haaa. INTENSE!

  • @nothingbutalittlebit lol i think those are dents..

  • Pure beauty

  • They studied from a transcription which has a typo in bars 81, 83, and 85. The eighth note should be staccato, but there is clearly a tenuto. I made and am studying a transcription to guitar&e.b. so I can tell the typos.

There probably exist other typos, but I'm too lazy to compare the piece against Halvorsen's original engraving.

  • Certified Intergalactic! Unequaled!

  • 22 stuck-up viola players didn't know this song can also be played through the violin & cello

  • @kittywong97 Viola players are probably the least stuck up people in the orchestra. lol

  • Making beautiful music makes the musicians beautiful.

  • Very good interpretation of a fantastic piece of music. I still prefer Perlman/Zukerman, but I can definately appreciate this.

  • nice

  • Fantastic!! Julia is outstanding! so is Daniel!

  • high-techniqued

  • i died a happy man.

  • AW, why did that guy have to cough!? 4:57

  • The best performing ever...

  • Fantastic. Julia seems to feel the music. Melody also very beautiful, I found extraordinary.

  • what a technique! amazing videos

  • watch?v=NseBdxfHk5k

    BETTER :)

  • @chompet123 The @artofcello version is indeed impressive considering he plays both parts and then puts them together. He should be proud of his version and I truly enjoyed it but...

I prefer this version. Julia and Daniel played off each other and made a performance out of it rather than a recording. Although artofcello attempted at some points to do this, it still comes off too mechanical for my tastes. Hats off to all (Julia, Daniel, and artofcello) because it truly is great music all around.

  • @chompet123 Yes! This is my favourite version! Well's is awesome :D :D

  • Julia & Daniel : virtuosi ! Gorgeous !

  • Talk about intense. You can see the sweat on Muller-Schott's cello!

  • Julia Fischer - the phenomenon of 21 century

  • magnitude and magnifiicence

  • 18 people are trolling...

  • 5:26 just mesmerizing!

  • I love Julia!! She's my idol! ...@binkymagnus you are right! when I go see performances like this I cant stop smiling! There is something wrong with those people!

  • Why does the audience look so miserable?! That's what's killing classical music. Audiences treat it like it's something to look at quietly in a museum.

  • @binkymagnus They're not miserable, they're focusing intently on the music and the performers, I know that when I hear or see a work of art even if it does make me happy I'm going to be very intent on it, especially if it's the first time I'm hearing it. I would be focused on absorbing the music as much as possible. I personally don't think they're miserable and that plenty of other things are killing classical music. But that's another story...lol

  • Fierce! (:

  • i've been watching videos of this same song over and over and over and overrr :OO i'm not obsessed

  • what was that?!

  • She's hot

  • I love all in this video!!! Favourite and shared!!!. Thank you. Cheers!!!, Sergio.

  • He's handsome

  • Janine Jansen play a better version. More trash in my sense than Julia. She play a polish music, in her chaconne it's the same. But it'could be contemplatif too...

  • Amazing.

  • Stunning!

  • i'm sharing the opinion of pretty much every expression of the musicians in the orchestra... clear sound, good instrumentalists, but just boring!!

i practised it (passacaglia :P) a lot and i'm hearing a lot of stuff, i don't see written in the sheet music! Sorry, to say that, but i'm just telling you what every other proffessional would tell you aswell...

    See ya

  • maybe the piece is played a little too "modern" and fast IMHO.

Best version remains the Perlman\Zukerman, much more expressive and played as it has to be.

OBVIOUSLY that is not a critic to this wonderful exibit: just expressing my sensations.

  • Is that guy in the brass section picking his nose at 3:10?

  • @Violinfanatic Just scratching, remember?

  • Tienen muchos errores y no miden bien su tiempo, sobre todo el chavo se equivoca en varias ocasiones

  • I just moved from internet porn to music porn and this is better!

  • 360waffle i totally agree with ya, im a musician myself

  • If you call this music porn then I would definatly want to become a music porn star!

  • to be honest... I felt some of it... but overall.. it didn't seem right. It was a bit too fast and it felt like they're competing against each other instead of playing as one.

There was not much feel.. most were just skills and it's like they expressed their music from their own rather than from and to each other as one, if you know what I mean... it's a bit hard to explain. >_<

go easy on me if you disagree with me.. it was just an honest opinion coming from a listener.

  • @360waffle I'd like to see you try to play that on stage with more feeling than them

  • My favorite !!! :) why did Julia laugh at the beginning btw hahah what did Daniel say to her :P

  • i think most of the guys are paying attention to Julia's cleavage... *_*

  • @Aikamatsu There is Vanessa Mae for that.

  • Comment removed

  • @Aikamatsu what cleavage?

  • too fast..

  • the passion is incredible *_*

  • i dont like their phrasing but it sounds reele good

  • Comment removed

  • Muito Muito Muito BOM !!

  • meraviglioso!

  • those were the most epic last 3 measures of a piece ever

  • 1:20 oops :)

  • @MrMusicfeast what s rong?

  • Reading all these comments about whose version is better is actually pretty distracting...people should be able to have opinions without bashing everyone else.

  • すばらしい!

  • This performance is so close to what I call,...PERFECTION

    congratulations!!

  • In my opinion this is the best performance...

PS I have read some comments like 'this is not baroque style, this is not Handel'... Well, this is not Handel indeed, this is Handel-Halvorsen and this is the reason why I appreciate this performance much more... If you need baroque then start to listen original one...

  • @jukarnarius

original handel passcalia on the harpsichord is way way better than this

  • Comment removed

  • What i hate about classical music are the criticisms and comparations. Not old or dead then you're not good enough. Stop it. This was amazing.

  • @BloodyDarkLife stop reading the comment section if you hate comparisons so much.

  • @vraellar I didnt read them, just saw them. >.>

  • 3:09 Guy in the back center is picking his nose hardcore.

  • The ending of P/Z ist absolutely sad.

  • LE ... GEN ... wait for it ... DARY!!!

  • these two should get married :)

  • at 6:00 she looks insane

  • Perlman/Zukerman's version is just a misery in comparison to this. Absolutely static, without any idea. That is absolutely great!!! Best ever...

  • @ThePoscriptum I thought P/Z were together more (at 6:13 these two were WAY off) and had more fun with it; they bounced off each other (they made the audience laugh too). that being said the ending of the piece in this video is amazing !!!

  • @vraellar P/Z play all the pieces like a klezmer. Without any feeling. Absolutely static. I do not understand why they are so famous.

  • @ThePoscriptum ummmm i'm sorry to intrude on you guys conversation but i have to ask how does P/Z play that song without feeling

  • @noddles3000 Music ist not only technique, what I see by P/Z. They play ok, but without to understand, what they play. I do not see any difference between Hendel and Klezmer there. They just should refuse to play these things and consentrate on Kletmer! I guess!

  • @ThePoscriptum They play OK?!?!?!? Look who's talking. Can you play that song with more feeling that Julia Fisher can?

  • Безусловно, лучшее исполнение Пассакальи, когда-либо соданное. Совершенно гениально! Браво!

  • Comment removed

  • que linda la melodía por la ctm!!!!!!

  • Not as dramatic or pronounced as several other more impressive performances have shown (most famous of which being Perlman Zukerman that these two must already be familiar with). They are not playing Paganini here, does anyone think the noble Handel's music should be a romantic period virtuoso showpiece? Then again, it looks like this was an encore and the adrenaline compromised their ability to play the work in an appropriate tempo.

  • they're on fire-almost literally

  • They are simply amazing! Every time I listen to this exact version, my eyes tend to water a little bit.

  • i said hot damn! this is amazing!

  • I prefer the version by Perlman/Zukerman, only because the tempo here is a bit faster than I prefer, and the dynamics are although drastic, but very un-defined. If that makes sence :p None the less, great performance.

  • The chemistry between them is clear for all to see and their mastery of this style of music almost unrivalled. I have seen Julia perform Bach at London's Wigmore Hall and no-one performs it better.

  • Very great!!!!!!! The violoncellist is very very beatiful!!!!!! The violinist is very expressive!!! I'm a young violoncellist and I love Danile Muller Schott!!! He's funny!!!!!!

  • There are 13 Musician critics that were bullshiting here.

  • they're defiantly putting their soul in this aren't they!

  • There are 13 deaf people

  • the video has 147,299 views... 147,000 is mine lol

  • Talk about great foreplay.. much better than the Perlman/Zukerman or Ha Na Chang versions

  • Now THIS is passion.

  • ialmost orgasmed

  • Hail to the founder of the violin

  • feels a bit rushed..... but overall a spectacular performance

  • the cello loves the violin , they love each other

  • 5:08 Worst camera angle ever!

  • Woah that is totally insane!!!! I'm going to play like that one day....

  • holy crap

    her wrist is paper thin..

  • @he4rt5 Top violinists tend to be thin, which keeps them agile. Have you even seen a world class violinist who is fat, or just a little chubby?

  • @meowziklvr

well i don't know if he's a "world class violinist" but i've seen a pretty big guy play the violin, yes.

    watch?v=FzwWEJ0Bgvo

  • @meowziklvr Itzhak Perlman is your man, prob ways 200 but he's a damn good player

  • wow amazing playing

  • wow amazing playing

  • Spectacular!

A rousing rendition, to be sure.

  • SO.EPIC.

  • lol at 2:18

the violinist in the middle is glaring at her :O

  • music porn. its like they are having sex through the interactions of the music they are producing.

  • @foodmore Aural sex?

  • They should be an item.

  • @StarRadiance Who says they're not?

  • Is Julia plucking with her index and middle finger at 3:55?

This is my favorite interpretation by far also!!

  • can anyone see what kind of chinrest she uses?? Looks kinda like kaufman but its higher than most kaufman rests I have used and seen

  • I want her in my bed.

  • @Hewleri I want him in my bed

  • @periola

I bet you're an old tranny, aren't you?

  • I'd like to be like Julia Fischer, beautiful and very smart

  • AMAZING♥

  • It's a privilege listening to these superb musicians. So, please, stop making noise.

  • Comment removed

  • The beginning was superb! But I wished that they gave me some time to catch my breath. :) But iBag3l, you are right, only a handful of people is able to perform at such a level.

    -cheers from Toronto

  • Ma perchè agitarsi tanto? Sono bravi lo stesso. Boh. Il solito vecchio cedere alla diabolica tentazione di usare la musica come sgabello sul quale salire per metterse se stessi al centro del palcoscenico.

  • completely off topic here, but does anyone know what kind of shirt muller-schott is wearing?

  • wow!the best music i've ever heard.i hope i can play like that!

  • i think this version is too fast.

The perfect one is the Perlman - Zukerman version.

  • If you're looking for the best recording of Passacaglia, my all time favorite is the one on Rustic Chivalry by Quarteto Gelato (Peter de Sotto violin and George Meanwell cello). Unfortunately, it's not on Youtub, you'll have to buy the CD (by the way, I have no stake in this, I really mean it).

  • That Was Sick.

  • What I feel more exciting is that it's played by two young musicians! I like to see young people coming, they are the ones who will carry the excellent things on.

  • 2:07 and heaven starts

  • haleljuu the only thing shes thinking of is fu cuck that boy after the concert. why did she played piano when she had the melodi. lizen to heifets he is a gud

  • Love this! RoCk on!!!

  • no me canso de escucharlo =)

  • 11 morons so far

  • W T F!!

  • 4:31 Julia basically just said GAME ON!

  • what r they laughing at?

  • So beautiful

  • Comment removed

  • The best player of violoncello in our time. I admine his interpretation with a lot of expressive and melodic power of this wunderful instrument.

Hear also his spoken voice if you understand a litte german.

  • panzer vs panzer= geräusche

  • this is my favorite interpretation of this work! amazing

  • @k73f Mein auch.

  • The sexiest classical music!

  • Julia Fischer to me is like a combo of Joshua Bell and Hilary Hahn. good performance!

  • yes, this is definitely breathtaking!

  • wonderful interpretation, maybe too violent, lack in romanticism i think =\.

    ...but really love it ^^!

  • An Awesome performance. However, I do not like Muller-Schott's screaming of the top notes of phrases without using vibrato. I prefer the Zukerman/Perlman version myself. I got to go to a concert where Julia Fischer played with the Chicago Symphony, and I must also say I don't like the way she makes random unnecessary movements

  • An Awesome performance. However, I do not like Muller-Schott's screaming of the top notes of phrases without using vibrato. I prefer the Zukerman/Perlman version myself.

  • *---------------------------* maravilhoso
