on of the comments below says Charlie chaplin and Hitler had the same moustache and were born in 1889. Thanks God Charlie Chaplin came to this planet to make people laugh and be happy while Hitle was the opposite, just to kill and to spread the evil.
@jeronimobraga YES!!! And did you know, they were born one week apart? In the same month...April 1889! Hitler was the demon Goliath...Charlie was the worlds David! Charlie even took on Hiltler in his film "The Great Dictator" a MUST SEE!!! There was a documentary called {I think} "The Dictator and The Tramp" that compares the two. Thank God for Charlie! Viva Charlie Chaplin!!!!
Its a real funny video .The main story is a boy breaking the window . And comes and earn lots of money!!! But the police inspector comes and knew the plan.
So the woman of the house come and gives him money!! But hi dont accept it
because he know if he agreed then poclice will attack into him!! So thats why it most most most funnestit video!!
When that child was taken from Charlie I cried because the child cried. And if and actor cries and you belive in it (like it has emotions in it) you will cry to.
an itinerent glazier, brilliant. my grandaughter is just 22 months old and she loves charlie (as we all do) she shouts "man" and we put charlie on, and she laughs her wee head off.
@quidwitch how do they not make sense anymore? they're as ingenious and hilarious as back then; i would prefer to watch a silent film a million times better than watch one of the hundreds of modern movies, which are all so futile and look alike; this is everlasting freshness from the past :)
@quidwitch They may not make to much sense, but this is just another aspect that boosts our interest in these films, it's so different than our idea of the world today that it makes it even more fictitious and wonderful making us imagine the ideals, settings and characters portrayed on the big black&white screen. I've only seen one or two silent films, I'm thinking I may need to expand my viewing. I especially love the exaggerated and comical actions of the all the characters.
Thank you for finding and posting these. Who are the dozen people who don't like this? That's twisted! Did they recently serve on a Florida Jury or something?
it's my birthday & this is who i hung out with before riding up to Yosemite, my neighborhood; but the first time i ever saw Charlie Caplin was in NYC w/ my Grandma & she always sang smile, in broken Italian/English...Big Love...
i don't understand one thing in this move...it makes no sense.....message me if you can understand this and are able to explain it to me i have a big report i must do about Charlie Chaplin and The Kid.
I've watched this about ten times already. I just l o v e this kid. I lough, but also iIt's painful to understand, even though it's only a movie, that a darling sweetes kid in the world, live poor... Quite similar to "Oliver"' also children are forced to pick-pocket...
the music is awsome and fits perfectly with the action... something that some current directors, with all the tecnology and modern knowledge, can't achieve
