Germany's Mercedes-Benz Presidential Cars that are made-to-orders only have successfully protected heads of states from Sri Lanka to the Former Soviet Republics. Though they're not as big as Caddis of USA, they've proven strong with IEDs, RPGs, Direct Firings, and Major Gang-Style Attacks by surrounding them.
Brett21... No Presidential Cars in the world are used without specialized modifications. Almost all Presidential cars, with exception of very few poor countries, are customized. Russia's Zil Limos, Europe's Customized 7-Series BMWs and Mercedes-Benze Presidential Cars and India's Hindustan Motors Ambassador Cars are all made according to the specifications demanded by those countries' secret service agencies.
You must take into cosideraton that this is no ordinary limo, too. The secret service modifications make it quite spectacular. It is much wider and taller than usual. It has enormous bullet proof self healing tires on it. the windows are 4 inches thick and the thing had antennas and flags all over it! Besides that it carries the President of The United States. Maybe thats why they seemed to be in awe.
American Ambulances are on the truck chasis to increase nation's fuel consumption. It's all about the greed. European ambulences are better, more fuel efficient and well equipped than America's in most cases, and faster. But, saying that Europeans don't have such cars is totally idiotic. European leaders in most instances have better looking cars than Fuel Guzzlers Americans use. I'm in USA, but I know that other nations aren't as stupid as some of you here think.
Cadillacs aren't gas guzzlers! I have one and it ge much better gas mileage than the Mercedes I had before which is what most European heads of state travel in!
As U.S. ambulances are now all built on van & truck chassis, I actually found the Mercedes E-Class ambulance the most interesting vehicle in this convoy. Not so spacious, but quite stylish!
Thats the NMotorcade of the Canadian Prime minister, just like the americans the canadians bring there own escort car as well,
