Who uses half the features this camera gives?, personally, I like this camera, what I don't like is USELESS ADDITIONAL FEATURES USED AS EXCUSES TO BUMP UP THE PRICE.
@AdministratorChris The 7D is a professional level camera made for professionals. Camera's like XXXD and the XXD series aren't professional level, so they don't have all these features. This is a new line of professional camera's and having these features will appeal a lot to professionals and semi pros. So no, its not an excuse to bump up the price, its there to appeal to a very large market.
Hey guys, I wanna film professionally, but I don't know which camera to get... The Canon EOS Digital Rebel T1i or the Canon EOS 7D... The Canon EOS Digital Rebel T1i is only like $1,000 with an extra lens, but the Canon EOS 7D is like $1,800 with an extra lens. Is the extra $800 worth it? Or should I get a totally different camera/camcorder?
@xBananashake45x if you want to film professionally you should be looking for something like Sony HDR-FX7 or Sony NEX-VG10. i own a Canon 7D but i haven't done any video recording since i barely got this camera about a week ago.
@xBananashake45x if you want to shoot professionally and you realy want to go with a DSLR dont get either of those. the 60D will be much better. its also cheaper than the 7D. I personally prefer the 7D for shooting photos but for video work the 60D beats it with its manual audio controls and articulating screen. If you are going to be shooting 100% video on this thing keep in mind that there are some better suited cameras for that job.
Whats with all those fuckin useless numbers with all the photo gear which nobody knows what they mean...Wireless File transmitter WFT-E5 , BG-E7 ,Memory Card SDHC Extreme III ...
@KevinMusic86 to tell the different models apart you dumb shit LOL do you complain why they have different names for different cars also? think before you ask dumb questions dumbass LOL
If you spoke to so many people and created such a damn good camera, why in the hell did you leave out such a simple feature such as manual audio when it's simply just software. I'd pay an extra easy $500 bucks to have that one feature. Otherwise a damn good camera.

Nice review. Hmmm...for the price n picture colour, i tink i will buy the SONY A850. Prefer 35mm Full Frame Sensor with 24 mp for shooting landscape n some potrait.....
The problem with that camera is that it has the same level of noise as an aps-c on Canon. Wait for a refined Sony sensor in a D700x, if we'll ever see one. The noise, the poor AF and lack of lenses makes Sony a big no no.
Or even better: get the 5D Mk II.
As for me: This will be my new camera. Perfect companion fo my 5D mk II....

The 7D is the best Semi pro camera on the market by far!

The 7d rocks, and the 15-85 is a very nice lens! One thing Im missing... A shutter of 1/48 for the video mode, so its in sync with 24fps framerate.

Added Mpixls doesnt mean squat. The only thing Sony achieved with the A series is break the world record for Largest RAW File Sizes.
Besides, this is a new niche for Canon. I believe this will seriously knock the D300 off its pedestal.
