One word: stamina. At least, this is better than the jazzed up version...which made it Too Soft to Consider. Thank God for jam bands who almost sound better bec. they attempt to play it similar to the popular (recorded) version. Of course, after a while, the artist just seems to get bored with doing it the same way everytime - but the vocalist is getting gassed here.
i passed chris on the street...i said hi..didnt want an autograph..didnt want him to stop to talk..i just said hi chris..he looked at me like i was a dick..which i am...but u dont gotta rub it in..speaking of rubbing it in..i'd love to rub it into his ex-wife that tight ass kate hudson..she fucks loads of guys so maybe i would have chance...doubtful...
Yeah, he probably calls that his "style" but it's irritating when when so much of the words are skipped or just jumbled together. I'd rather the performer, any performer, settle down and give a great delivery of the song instead of worrying about stage antics. Let some other members of the band bring the energy. Love the Crowes, but prefer the studio versions because of his "live" style of singing.
uuuhhhhh... that look scared me! Oo 00:37

Chris is NOT half singing. He is perhaps the most passionate musician.

Love this song and this band but what was up with the guitar solos? I play the first and second better than he did here. To much to drink I guess? :P

I think that lead guitar had one too many tokes before showtime! I've been there...

Definitely took some inspiration for his stage moves from Rod Stewart in the early 70s when with the Faces

Its good to see bands like this and Pearl Jam bring new life into these 1960's classics.

Why is it slower then it used to be and he sings the wrong words, well maybe he changed em but still?
kidswithnothingtodo 2 years ago
what do you mean "used to be"?
this is from the very first tour and album.
look, jeff cease is on guitar, and he was fired after the first tour, so this must be from about 1990 or 1991

@kidswithnothingtodo Because it's a live performance. Musicians often change things up a bit live.

I hate how the singer is half singing it.
Other than that, cool performance.
redsoxmb545 3 years ago
With all that jumping around he obviously ran out of breath. I think that was the second or third song in the set. He still rocked it!!
Eclectic1970 3 years ago
well, at the end of the song he says "goodnight" - must have been a very short concert ;-) :-p
