Back then wemon squeezed into corsets to chape their curvy bodies, they wore fake eyelashes caked on makeup and used alot of peroxide they were made exactly the same, just shaped into sex symbols, although curves were more excepted .. Now woman prefer to be more natural.

Well, many do not at all, and most attractive women in general society don't, either. Many women are great natural beauties, without undergoing anything. They simply take excellent care of themselves. You'll have to find another reason to justify your own insecurities, in general.

@KiittyCupcake You are so right.I was watching "Meet Me In Las Vegas" and the dance scene with Cyd Charisse and John Brascia proves that.No plastic surgery or implants fab then but look at the chiseled faces of Brascia and Cyd when they perform Frankie and Johnny. That whole bit they do is so charming and seductive.Hard to put into words. Actually, I've seen many more beautiful modern actresses than I have classic ones, because modern actresses can adopt to the styles that suit them, rather than having to conform to the rigid codes of glamour the 50's imposed. As for bodies, if you meant to imply that women don't have the curves they once did, women are more voluptuous than ever before (most likely to due to food hormones and high obesity rates).

MR. Tyler...don't mean to be insistant but she wasn't on the cover of movie mags (Photoplay, Modern Screen , Motion Picture, etc ) .... I have about 200 of them. She is not on the cover of any of them. Some pix of her in a few issues but no "stories " She was on the cover of many "mens " mags ( pocket sized ones ) and Playboy.. also some others...I have a NY Daily News Coloroto with her on the cover but thats about it. Don't get me wrong I like Mamie....but she is a "cult " icon not a star

So beautiful , lacquered, glossy....and charming in this clip.....but she was hardly a "STAR "....I grew up in the 50's and bought movie mags every weekend....she was never a cover or a big story...Mamie was an also ran and was never able to shed the "Marilyn " image though she certainly had her own individuality... stronger and tougher than MM . I admire her longevity ! It looks like she will give the Mae West a run for her money ! Not being negative...just realistic...like her a lot !
