But now we have a country of little teeny boppers who see this movie and then see "burlesque night" at a bar not realizing what they're getting in to. Better yet, they try to be "burlesque dancers" themselves, and wonder why they left the audience very confused.

So... if I wanted to see a scene-by-scene remake of "Cabaret" with the aesthetic of a Disney Studios porn director... wait, I didn't want to see that. The ENTIRE "Bound to You" sequence is EXACTLY like the ENTIRE "Maybe This Time" sequence, the androgynous MC with the two girls is the "Two Ladies" number, choreography is 100%, blatantly stolen from Fosse, and the band even plays "Sitting Pretty" towards the end. This is not homage, this is robbery. Except for Cher (who has to make a living).

Sure, there's dancing, but it was never as extreme as like Beyonce or Britney. She didn't wanna sacrifice her vocals. THIS movie however really shows that she can dance! @fernandototovidal Oscar doesn't award a Best Movie Musical. If Burlesque was nominated, it would be in the Best Picture category which I doubt since tone deaf critics hated it. What huge shot Burlesque has though are the actors. There were a lot of great performances in this movie. And also the original songs might have a shot on getting nominated. Also, Christina and Cher have a really huge shot of being nominated for best actress in a comedy/musical category. and Stanly for best supporting!

@fernandototovidal I see a box office flop and a what appears to be a terrible movie. Plus there's no such thing as a BEST MUSICAL MOVIE Oscar. This could have been a cool idea if they just put some indie flair on it but i don't think this movie is gonna be good. But i could be wrong. Probably an awesome movie for all the X-tina fans though.
