Hey theEclipseman it's 95 percent mind and 5 percent gun when your playing paintball i went into many mrpaintball tournaments with a invert mini back in the day and owned the guys with egos and angels and bob longs doesn't really matter what kind of gun you got it's how use it and shoot it . But I have an ego now for comfortability and cause it's a great gun .

@CraZypainTballa23 if you plan to keep it for a while definatly the vice considering the ego you want comes with nothing, but if you already have all the parts you need and you switch up your guns every now and then, definatly the ego. Egos are in much higher demand where as vices are really hard to get rid of. Also egos are extremely reliable, Ive had an ego6 since they came out and it has literally never broken down.

Ha! Planet Eclipse's Canadian Customer Support is an Absolute Joke! No word of lie my friend waited 8MONTHS for a replacement solenoid for his Ego 9... story gets better another person waited close to a year for a replacement board. Buddy was torn between an NT and an SLS and went with the NT because Dye has much better Canadian Customer Support... My conclusion if your in Canada go with the Vice!

I've played for 10 years, and I started hating on Smart Parts after they sued everyone over the On/Off switch on an electronic gun patent. It got rid of some very good guns like the E-Mag, and Viking. Actually it's pretty much one of the reasons why our sport's diminished as much as it has over the past six years since it's happened. Very bad decisions, they took WGP's approach and tried to appeal to the beginner audience. For the past 2 years, they've done nothing but recreate the ion's design into several different guns, not to mention they introduced the luxe during the peak of the recession which was just asking for trouble. It's too bad they went from creating one of paintball's most popular guns, the shocker into these cheap plastic woodsball markers that are only capable of shooting no more than 10 BPS.

Egos and geos are both hand built in england and use quality parts. If you've ever owned an ego, each one has a label with the person who constructed your marker at the factory, smart parts could never give you that kind of personal service. Also, how easy it is to sign up for the warranty. Smart parts markers come with the marker and black and white manual. Egos come with the marker, full color manual, spare parts, gun oil, barrel(full kits in the SL series) and barrel bag.

at my local pb store there is a used vice for 650 and a used ego8 for 650 (the vice has shot around 10-20 cases and the ego has shot around 30-35 cases) the ego also comes with a upgraded tadao board and a freak barrel. im not too worried about efficiency or quietness cause there is hardly a difference is quietness. im stuck on a decision someone comment for your preference

Tipmann makes really reliable guns, they cost alot less as well than these two. Bor starters go with the Tipmann, if your serious about paintballing move up to those two in the video. Those are professional guns there in the vid, and would do fine in bad weather. The Tippmann is very reliable as well, just as much but a fraction of the cost..hope that helps bud. good luck.
